Allegory, can I save us both some aggravation and time and answer that for us?
Mass Effect I liked the part where everyone disagreed because looking up all the stuff before hand and restarting for minor mistakes is lame.
I went Paragon my first play through, I knew I wanted to be Paragon, but I had no guide. In fact, I had no idea whatso
ever what the hell I was doing. I still ended up with the 75% Paragon achievement with my bar fuller than 75%.
Yes, some of the choices are baffling. "Why did I get Renegade for that?" kinda thing, but I just went with it.
The name of the game is Mass Effect, hinting that everything you do etc. effects something else. So when I had to pick background I just picked what I liked the most, didn't have it all planned out. (I survived Akuze and had space traveler parents IIRC) Isn't the point of it to see how it all plays out? And the character customization - yea, I too thought it was very extensive, and I agree it's mostly useless. For
other games. Conversation is a big part of Mass Effect, so you do see your face alot. If you hated it so much though, just skip through it all or take a premade face.
Tirith's comment was relevant too. The vehicle controls were completely
retarded. I adjusted to it though, and overall enjoyed vehicle fighting, even if it was odd.
