1. What is the penalty for dieing? What happens when you die basically?
Well, much like Wor... that other game, you take an immediate 10% hit to the durability of all your gear, and get hit with a 10 minute debuff that inflicts Dread on you (temporarily reducing your max HP, damage dealt, damage mitigation, and healing recieved), the magnitude of which depends on what zone you died in (higher level zones = moar Dread)
2. Can any level group with one another. For example in WOW a lvl 80 can run a lvl 15 through a dungeon. How does this work in Lord of the Rings?
You can pretty much do the same thing here
3. How solo friendly is this game. Once again coming from WOW how would it compare as far as advancing in the game solo wise?
Pretty solo friendly over here too, some of the quests might give you a bit of trouble to solo though (but usually those are clearly marked as such)
4. Is the melee system auto attack or is it click per attack like Star Wars Galaxies?
Auto attack, but every class has "attack" skills that need to be used manually, so leaving autoattack on while you go make a sandwich is going to hurt your performance :p
5. Can you max your lvl out solo by doing quests or do you have to just grind mindlessly as some point due to lack of quests?
It's possible to get most of your levels from questing, but some of the solo quests are located in fairly out of the way places, and if you don't know about them, you're likely to end up grinding out a level or two (which isn't entirely without its own advantages)
6. Is there any type of guild halls, player housing, etc?
Yes, there are both player and "kinship" (guild) houses available; they're fairly expensive to buy and maintain though.
Anyway, that's all, I hope it helps! And if you decide to join up, There Is No Fifth Star, the unofficial Allakhazam kinship, is located on Meneldor </shamelessplug>
Hope this helps!
