just curious (I can't lead anything anymore, damn life lol) how do you start a legion in the game?
Looks like Israphel is winning the fight for server. I am planning on going Asmo, and I am not tipping my hat on character names lol.

TinFS is the LotRO name and I believe it was used for another game as well.
Asmo works for me as well.
Don't blame you, I've had names swiped in the past and the majority of character names I use are unique so I am pretty sure it was because I posted it before hand.

Ok just a small update, the server list did a little switching and is as follows
[East] AzphelGMT-5

The only Difference between the servers is that the server clock is set to either PST or EST all the servers themselves are located on the east coast. The server clock only effects the PvP objectives in the abyss, so unless we were going to focus on doing stuff in the abyss i dont think server choice would be much of a problem.

I think to form a Legion is like most other games, you just need a full group of peeps and then go to the legion founding dude in the city, and then the group leader becomes the legion leader.

In honor of the beta shutdown. Sadly I have to work when the beta sunsets later this evening. So my last character I named Theending and now I am thinking of maybe doing a gladiator or templar instead of sorcerer.
Actually they did a mini patch last night and extended the OB till 2 a.m. PST monday morning so ya might have a little more time tonight

I did hear in game earlier that pre-orders will be able to select their server and create their character on the 18th, but they will not be able to actually login to the game till the 20th, any truth to this?

This is indeed true the 18th is the server pre-select and the 20th starts the head start program, which is nice because anyone who didnt preorder has to wait till the 22nd in the US and 25th in EU to make their characters and get started.
yeah but when are they cutting off the online pre-orders? Would be pointless if people are still pre-ordering the game the day before it releases.
They probably won't cut off the pre-orders. People just won't be getting their pre-access keys before release unless they're emailed to them.

Also I created a group on facebook called "Asmodians on Israphel Server" for anyone who wants to join. Maybe we can use it as a jumping point for building the <yet to be named> legion.

You shouldn't have to replace the client, just enter in the new code. And since the game isn't officially being released until the 22nd, doing it before then would lock everyone out.
The client your system has right now is good to go for retail dont have to put any codes in or anything.

ahh I see the pre-select stuff and my account says I am ready for launch. Good thing I didn't delete the OB files. Traditionally you delete the OB when its over with, but this works out well. Counting down the days...
So Israphel server Asmodean side for the alla legion now we just need a name.
By the way, don't know if anyone has mentioned this already, but you don't need to be in a group or anything to start a Legion. Just bring 13,000 kinah (sp?) and you're good to go. At Asmo side, it's in one of the buildings on the big square iirc.
