LOTRO crafting uses multiple recipes with the same set of components. Faction-based recipes from the crafting guilds are commin for this. This bug is particularly troubling in that it affects these recipes in particular, which have a multi-day cooldown period owing to the use of a crafting guild faction item in the recipe.
I have two such recipes, one for a ranged weapon and one for a melee weapon as a woodworker (A spear and a javelin recipe)
I executed the ranged recipe, being certain to do pick the recipe carefully and noting that it was in the ranged area of recipes in the list. The recipes in the range area for the guild recipes are marked differently from other recipes.
When the recipe completed, I had the melee item. The melee recipe shows the cooldown period, and the items were consumed appropriately to complete the recipe. The only problem is that I executed the ranged recipe to make a different item..
I was making this for a friend. We had waited 3 days for the guild item recipe to be available, and during that time I gathered hundreds of raw materials to skill to the "mastery" status in the level for the woodworker profession. I had banked the items needed, and had the recipe "open" as I withdrew each item to make sure it was the correct one (items required are displayed as grey in the recipe if they are not in your inventory at the time, so I ws able to see each component of the recipe go "green" as I transferred the item to inventory.)
I returned to the table with the recipe open, executed the recipe and got the wrong item.
GM insists I simply used the wrong recipe, but I was exceptionally careful to do the recipe I needed as it involved some expensive / rare components. All I can see is that the other recipe comes before this one in the list (in a separate section) and the system executed the first one with that combination of materials.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, have you had any luck with response from a GM about the results?
