It was an an old N64 game that my brother rented once, this was maybe six to eight years ago, where you - the protagonist/main character - were a boy who was younger, in the teens, maybe 13-18. Anyway, you had to save this...orb, I believe it was, and you did the whole thing in a...forest, I think? I remember some kind of forest setting, a cut scene or the theme for the whole game.

But I think there was some trick to the orb, where the player was absorbed into it? Maybe. And the orb represented life, or could bring people back from the dead?

I can't remember at all, does anyone know?

Zelda? Only game that I can think of that had a young kid, a forest, and an orb, and was a game people actually played. more importantly, you made ME feel old by saying the N64 is old, damn it.

Quest 64 is the only thing that comes to mind based on that description.

I also believe the player had horns, and maybe a companion that helped him? I spoke with my brother just recently, and he seemed to remember and describe more bits, but we can't remember what it was.

The player was cursed in some way, and when you got hit hard, or almost died, you became enraged or something. From what I recall he wore dark blue and dark green clothing, and at least part (if not all) of the game was in a forested area.

It was not Quest 64 for sure, Quest is much too bright and little kiddish from what I just looked up on Google Images. It was darker, in both theme and graphics, probably T rated.

He also informed me he's rather sure it was a PlayStation 1 game, if that helps.

Just admit it wasn't really a video game and you're just trying to get people to help you recall the dream you had last night.

That's not fair, he only got it because the question changed. Smiley: motz

(I wanted to say Quest 64, but I don't remember the life theme being part of it.)
