I was just wondering if someone could help me out on how you go about updating and such without using TDM. When I downloaded the game it just downloaded the Turbine Download Manager with it, people talk about just not using it and downloading it yourself. How do you update and such without using TDM? Any help is appreciated.

IIRC, the TDM is just for doing 'special' tricks like downloading while you're playing or downloading a torrent style package in order to update before the changes are launched. So all you really need to do is just update through the regular game launch interface. When you log on, if there is a patch, your game application (not the TDM) will download the patch first and then log you in.

It really should be that simple.
