I have a couple weeks before my summer is going to become busy, so I've decided I'll use the free time to play some RPGs I missed or never fully played. As I type this post my computer is already becoming bogged down with mods for TES Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon. Whoopee.

I'm your classic dungeon crawling RPG'er, confining my usual playtime to games like Diablo 2 (and the not so great carbon copy that is Titan Quest), but one game I meant to play but never did is Dungeon Siege.

I'm starting from scratch here, and the game has an IP internet play feature. Anyone feel like playing? On a related note, anyone have some good ol' classic RPG suggestions? Is Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2 worth playing?

NWN 1 and 2 are both good, assuming you like DnD rules.

I've never played DnD. Is there any chance I'll still enjoy it?

Yea, it might take some getting used to though, luckily the big everything NWN1 packs should be fairly cheap, I dont think theres any demos.

Thanks for the info. After about thirty seconds of google witchcraft, I found a demo for NWN1. Trying it out now.

NWN Platinum is like 25 dollars or something on amazon. I don't know if it comes with the community expansion pack or not, but it should come with both official ones, as well as the premium modules.

I preferred Icewind Dale 1&2 and Baulder's Gate 2 to NWN 1, never played 2. Torment wasn't bad, a bit old though.

If you really like dungeon crawls and can stomach old games, see if you can find a copy of Daggerfall. You'll need a DOS emulator to run it though. DOSbox seems to be the accepted one among the TES:II community. You want a true "go anywhere, do anything" game, this is it. I remember reading somewhere that going across the entire landmass without skipping through the water took over 72 RL hours.

Keep in mind the game is buggy as hell and the dungeons are repetitive but you can easily get lost inside one for hours at a time, but it's because of the way the game was designed. It was groundbreaking for it's time and still widely accepted as one of the best MMOs ever created.
