I picked up this up for my DS yesterday and so far it's very enjoyable despite some of the unforgiving mini-games (damn you ping-pong). Basically it's a cross between Warioware and EBA; you have to complete each mini-game in time to the rhythm of the stage music. Instead of holding the DS regularly you have to turn it "notebook style"; in my case this distracts me from the game because I have to avoid holding it too hard and ejecting the game with my palm.
The first couple of games include singing in a choir, cheering on a popstar, and filling up some freshly built robots; you are given a chance to practice on that game's objectives before you actually start. At the end of the stage is a mini-game called "Remix" which as you can tell is a combination of all the previous mini-games for that stage.
Depending on your skill for each game you can either fail, clear, or "Superb" clear; the last one gets you a medal that can be used to play more games in the mini-mini-game section called "Medals". Two of the sub-sections you can access in "Medals" at the beginning are "Endless Games" which have no goal and are just there to entertain little kids and the drunk/stoned, or "Rhythm Toys" which are skill games including flipping a coin off screen and trying to get the timing right to catch it again consecutively. There are also 2 guitar sections which I guess you can access when you progress further in the main game.
The final area I'm gonna post about is called "The Cafe"; here you can talk to the Barista for game tips and important information such as when a stage song is available to be won. Next is the music player which is used to play all the game music you have; you start off with the title screen and game menu music. You can earn more music by getting a Perfect run on a stage during the time the Barista mentions. There is also a help section and a practice area if you have problems flicking items.
All in all it's a great game and if you are a fan of this style I recommend you get it asap.
