I am a beginner at SWG where I choosed to play as a jedi and I have several questions:
* Is it possible to make the quests or acquire competences of the other professions?
* Is it possible to change of profession later in the game?
* Where to find healing potions?
* How to join a PVP party?

1: shouldnt be possible, not that many proffs have tehre own quests i think, then even if you could do them there items would probably be linked to there class.
2: Yes, once for free then every next time is i thin k 1 million credits, and it should go about by about a million each time to 25 million i think.
3: there arnt really any, you might be able to find some stimpacks, but every class should get an ability that heals them at some point.
4: should be just like joining any other party, pretty much just need an invite, unless somethings changed that i dont know about, which is very possible.

They have added respec decay recently so effectively if you havent respeced before you can change professions once a month at no cost.

By re-specing, does this mean I can take my entertainer and change to... say, a Trader?
Once trader, can I make merchant NPC's and then switch back to Entertainer in theory? I was gonna start my own thread on this, but I figured it better to piggy-back off a similar question.

You could change from entertainer to trader, but when you do your trader level will be 1, you could also change to any combat class, but again you would be taken to level 1.
but, when you go back to a type of class, you should keep your level, so if you went to trader, leveled trader up to say, 10, and changed back, you entertainer level should be the same as it was before.

Yes. However, going from entertainer to trader will reset your level to 1. (If you go back to Entertainer, your previous ent level will be restored.)

A toon that respecs out of trader can no longer maintain his vendors, so the items listed for sale will go to the stockroom in 30 days, and then be deleted 30 days after that. (If the vendor's maintenance pool doesn't run out first.)
