Just want to know your experioence in MMO.
Before 'm just a normal college student... I'm not fan of MMO games.. but when my bf teach me to play Flyff it change my life ..
I realize that it's not only a game, that people used to play during their spare time.. but I see that the in game community is like in real world.. interacting with others and gaining friends not only online but you gain friends in real life... From then on I usually play games to communicate with my friends... love to enjoy the game while chatting with them... Currenlty I'm playing atlantica... people there are very kind... and I'm enjoying it's features... it's kinda new game for me coz it's a turn based unlike flyff which is a hack and slash one...

How bout you guys? share your experience... :)

And like most addictions, you'll think about it even after you quit.

I do. I was really devastated when my mage was wrongly banned and I played 2 10 day trials just to get to play. When I was away from FFXI, I always thought about it. I am addicted.

Your mage in WoW? Just making sure since your FFXI character seems to be a pure mage also according to your signature.

I guess to an extent I am but really I don't think it runs my life or anything. I mean when its warm weather Im out on my boat fishing, diving, camping etc. I don't think I have ever canceled RL plans so I could play a game.

But when I am home I would rather be playing a MMo then anything else. I know when my power was out a for a few days in feb I was about to go nuts. Wasn't that I so much wanted to play WOW it was just I wanted to play something. When my power is out and its 10 degress outside I am 100% bored.

MMO's take up time from playing other games. When I played xi still, I saved money on buying new games, but once I quit I had several years worth of a catalogue to buy and play.

That's me right there... except for me it was older games I just hadn't heard of when they were new.

I am a mage type of girl. Any game I play, I will be a mage. I have tried melee jobs, but I'm just not that good at it.

My WoW character is Pyrolexia. She was banned and recently restored. I don't know why, I don't care, but she's back. In the meantime, I restarted FFXI and started leveling my SCH.

If I play Aion, I will be a mage also.

I played WAR, I was an Archmage.

If it involves magic, I am there.

I originally thought that MMO's would have changed me, but after having quit cold turkey a year and a half ago to focus on school, I've found that I've done just fine without them and rarely even miss them.

The last 5 years of my life would have been completely void of friendly interaction with other people had I not been playing FFXI. Everywhere I go IRL, people are mostly indifferent and sometimes even hostile, though the feeling is usually mutual.

On FFXI, people are forced to work together, and through that friends are made. I've spent over 300 days worth in hours playing FFXI, whereas otherwise I'd have spent those hours attempting to entertain myself with lesser games or watching boring reruns on TV or pacing around my house miserably no knowing what to do. I likely would have killed myself.

for me mmo doesn't change anything.. for me i treat it as a game.. a hobby to kill time.. you can only change with other people like friends, love ones.. just like that.. so i don't believe in that.. may be for others.. hahaha.. ^_^

How you considered neverwinter nights?

I'm a caster only guy myself; I've recently lanned with some of my friends playing NWN and its the most fun I've had in years. I could get you an ISO of diamond, but really consider buying it. I liked it so much that I pirated it, played it, and the bought it because i liked it so much.
