Probably a bad idea to play EVE if you're gonna be casual. It's an amazing game, but I definitely don't think it's very casual-friendly. Although, I hear they've implemented some benefits for new players recently, so maybe things have changed.
I play EVE casually, seems to work for me. Put in an hour or two here and there, sometimes just log in to change what skill I'm working on. In that hour or two I can usually get a mission or two done in my Battlecruiser.
Anna, play EVE. The learning curve is really a learning run into a brick wall, but it's fun.
I'm not really sure. From what I've played in EvE, there's not much in the way of Uniqueness, and it feels kinda sterile, only having your ship, and a picture of your pilot representing you.
Also, the learning curve is like running into a brick wall with a couple spikes jutting out of it, srsly.
I find myself in the same boat as Anna lately though. I'd like to play an MMO again, but I'm not going to have the time with school to devote to anything extremely time consuming like raiding...
(warning, rambling nonsense ahead)
WAR's pvp is nice, but the leveling pace is slow. WoW has all but dragged me along like a corpse attached to a car on a freeway... FFXI was fun for the few weeks that I played it again, but spending hours farming bees so that I could afford my character's next set of gear to level up in wasn't very appealing to me. LotRO is cool, but very very slow. EQ2 seems the same way as LOTRO... but with Frogloks!
