have not yet recieved a single hate tell on briaFollow

When I used to play on Valcyn ppl would send hate tells (PvP) and if you replied in ways they didn't approve of (mom jokes) they would say things like, "you must be from Bria". Or, "you should transfer to Bria where there are more like you."

I have yet to recieve a single hate tell or hate emote on bria. I probly have racked up about 200 deathblows (spy) since transfer and not a single PvPer has said anything to me or hate emoted my corpse when they win. Granted I don;t really look very hard with chat bubbles turned off, and mostly the combat log I see, but I do scroll back my chat window out of curiosity and not a single immature /tell or hate emote from a PvPer.

Sometimes I actually miss the drama of a small, "mature" server.

The only thing annoying on Bria was some Mos Eisley roleplayers (that one idiot reb who thinks he's a pirate and talks like a valerian thug) and his "gang" were trying to roleplay/emote/insult/duel my crafter alt.

I thought it was the PvPers who were supposed to be the loudmouth idiots..? I swear ppl got it sooo backwards..

hehe not sure when you last looked but I have had some good PvP on Sunrunner in the last couple of months.

We picked up a couple of Rebel leaders in the FCTS and they have evened the odds a lot.

i got my 1rst hate tell last night. from a BH who had my mission it seems. . so anyway i heal up from the 3k dmg his opening attack did to me then I launch my strike from stealth which totally failed most of my rolls, he had a window of about 7-10 seconds while I was out of stealth, he got in like 2-5 shots and did another 4k dmg to me.. so I return to stealth..

he sends me a tell threatening to just leave if i will not fight.. as if were in some kind of honor duel..

he sends some more tells insulting me and calling me a noob

he was the bigger noob tho- the amount of dmg he put out in a 10 second window totaled at the most 5k. and that was before i popped avoid damage. instead of continuing to chase me into the hills which he began to do, and he was getting dangerously close, and i have no more tricks up my sleave for 3 minutes- he would have had me. I've had BH's get me before by just persistence but instead of tracking me he stops to send hate tells which gave me distance and then when I wouldnt reply he rides off towards the starport.

my point is and i'm hijacking my own post here, is that if players would just try to kill a spy, instead of just give up and roll over they can kill a spy, they just have to be persistent, they won't kill a spy every time but so many times I see players just give up when aggression was all that was needed.

other players cant seem to react to anything under 5 seconds. most games you need to be able to react in fractions of a second but many restuss players seem to have very slow reactions. i don't know if they pride themselves at not using macros or are playing with the mouse only, but whatever they're doing is not working for them against players that are using shooter type keypads and 8 button mice.

Are you loading yout trader into battlefields in order to PvP? Sometimes your own faction will be sending the hate tells as they may feel that you have taken the plae of a more effective combat character on their team, but as you say, it's fun and its up to you how you rank up.
