Does anyone know if and when there will be a new expansion? Just curious. Thanks
There are no new expansions announced for 2009 although I imagine they will try to do something when SW:TOR is released next year.
Sadly for us SWG players i think the best we can hope for are "mini" expansions like we got with Hoth. Not an entire planet but maybe some more "Instance" add ons. I remember when i first started playing SWG, shortly after launch, and was really excited about getting Kashyyyk, and then Mustafar. I thought "this will be great...one planet a year as an expansion". But, as we all know now, SOE kind of messed with the players too much and now we just hang on and hope the game doesnt go under. Keep the faith!! And have fun!

To be honest I think the worst thing they could do is add a planet a year the game simply does not have the population to support them unless they start sharing worlds.
I still would like to see an expansion but one that brings the interface up to standard and adds a ton of small group and solo content to existing worlds.

ya, they really dont need more planets, better off adding stuff to teh current ones, that are mostly uselss.
I agree with both of you guys...there is so much that could be added to the exsisting planets/game. I was hoping we would get a "Gardula" the Hutt added to Tatooine. And others that could be used for a 2nd or 3rd "Legacy" line as well as ongoing higher level quests. I always thought if there were three of four "Legacy" lines, it would stave off boredom from we that have more than 1 account and peep. But we'll wait and see. SOE has been adding a lot of new content to the game, and it is still enjoyable for me to play. And many others as well.

It is upsetting. I never heard of the hoth expansion though.
they need to completely rewrite the engine. it was junk in the pre-CU also- shooting through mountains was beyond retarded
