I have to say I've been stepping in and out of SWG the last few months and I've been having a good time. Recently returned from 1year+ vacation. Transfered one char from wanderhome to starsider, and oh man is that place swamped with people. Always something going on, getting invited to heroic instances, etc.

However, the char that remains on wanderhome is still having a good time too. Wanderhome now is sort of like what summerschool in college was like. At first, it seems like you're the only idiot there, then after a while you start to same the same few folks around over and over and eventually you get to be friends and mayhem ensues. There is a crew of about 10 that I see all the time and we are having fun.

Also, in my opinion the game has improved much since the NGE first hit. Just an opinion. Hope that helps ya.

ok i feel I must clarify my last statement of the previous post. Didn't mean the game after the NGE is better than before the NGE. Just that the game right after the NGE was so buggy and so much was missing, but now it seems (to me) Sony has been plugging holes and adding some fun stuff.

I would certainly give it a try they have added some nice stuff however it really comes down to how the game appeals to you so use the free time they give you and make your own mind up.

im in two minds about it myself, truth is i dont know, on the other hand, it doesnt cost much to sub for a month, to give it a whirl and see if the game works for you. I can only say that for me personally, it doesnt currently work. i'll probably try it again for a month, after the next major update.

If you remember your old account details there is a good chance you will have 14 days to a month free on that.

I recently re-opened an account that was closed in early 2005 and it was intact, even had his houses nicely packed up.
