After deleting everything that is not vital, my 2GB card is about 5MB shy of fitting FFIX. Damn your crappy 1.90GB capacity after formatting Memory Stick Pro Duo. Smiley: mad

I wonder if I would have more space if I reinstalled Sony firmware.

Have you tried .CSO formats, and what not?

Not really too sure what that is. I used RS-GUI PopStationMD to create the eboot file (compacted the four discs into one. I know the game works because I played it on epsxe on my PC. I just don't have space :(

Nevermind. Turns out CSO is just for UMD images.

I think it stands for Compressed ISO. It's just an Image file that has been compressed to save space. I thought it could be used for PSX games, but it doesn't seem like you can.

I don't understand how you people find the time to play old games like that. I have a stack of like 4 new things that I'm trying to get through now without counting my DS stack...

You either play to slow, are an achievement *****, or you buy way to many games to play. I can finish just about any game in about 1-5 days depending on what it is. I have a bad habit of buying a game, ie Mirrors Edge, and beating it in one sitting the day I bought it.

Why are you trying to load FFXI on a jump drive?

I'm assuming he's doing it on a PSP. Can't you do one disk at a time? Or did you rip them all into one EBOOT?

You can do them one at a time, but I've heard there can be problems with disc changes. (Then you have to covert the save file to work with the second disc and load that way).

You can make them all into a single eboot, and that eliminates all the disc change problems.

Of course I don't know how to do these, I've only read up on them for the day that I finally go out and buy a Pandora battery and finally do this with my PSP.

All of the above I guess.

Right now I'm trying to play last remnant, eternal sonata, tales of symphonia 2, enchanted arms, fallout 3 (2 more achievements to go) eternal darkness, killer 7, apolo justice, starfox command, and metroid prime hunters

At last count I had 210 games ._.

I know, I've converted my entire PS1 collection to EBOOTs. I have a 8gb card, so I did single, combined disk eboots but I've also done the disk by disk eboots as well.

Interestingly enough, the game worked when I cleared enough space. However, it froze up when I tried to start a new game. Everything ran perfectly up to that point. Once I selected new game, it went to the black screen to load and never cleared that black screen. If I load up the game with disc 2, 3, or 4 and select new game, it gives me the normal insert disc 1 screen, then does the same thing (black screen forever).

Maybe I should try to find a compact iso/cso to play. Star Ocean 2 runs fine in CSO format.

OH SHI-

I meant to download the PS1 version of Star Ocean 2 and I ended up with the PSP remake. Damnm I didn't mean to steal a game that was available for sale new. Smiley: frown

Now my conscience requires me to delete it and get the old one. I didn't even realize there was a remake in the works. I would go out and buy it but I'm broke as hell. The game threw me off because I didn't remember voice acting in the PS1 version.

Anyone posting in this thread that never played Star Ocean 2, I highly recommend the PSP remake. Starting another thread for this game just because.
