on top of all that a hit detection system that cripples limbs and even blows them straight off like Dead Space or Fallout 3,
which, would
never happen, since there gonna want at most a T rating.
but i do agree a game like planetside would be awesome, Star Wars isnt the universe we need for one, Warhammer 40K is.
/facepalm
oh yea i forgot the T factor. well i'd give up the blood or dismemberment, "snare" should still exist as a crippled leg tho.
this game i have in mind still seems to be like 5-10 years off despite all the new consoles and how powerful the PS3 supposedly is they still can't or won't make a MMOFPS with all these combined. If planetside had a crafting system like SWG, player cities, housing, deco, economy, etc but in the end was a MMOFPS with RPG elements included (unlocking weapon certs, or w/e) + destructible enviorments and limb hit detection..
well then there's Huxley being developed but it sounds like Huxley's "MMO" factor is going to be nothing but a gimmick- 5000 ppl on one server but with 20 vs 20 instances (whats the point of having 5000 ppl on a server when they can't all play together?) its sounding like the only time 5000 players will be able to interact is in a glorified chatroom "city" where you get to plan your 40 player PvE raids in a FPS format and make the CYBZ or w/e it is social players do. hopefully i'm wrong..
but this seems to be the trend lately with game devolopers twisting the facts and boasting their game is a MMO- its like EndWar- they boast of thousands of players "playing" at once.. but the online matches are still like 4 vs 4...
just because their are thousands logged in but not able to play at the same time they think it gives them a way around false advertising their game as a MMO
