Im playing crisis core right now and its ******* incredible. Any other FF games that play similar to this on other systems (sans ps3 since i dont have)? I havent played an FF game since final fantasy 7 came out however many years ago.
When I say play similar I mean the combat.

Similar combat games would be the tales series. They always have real time battle and tactics.
What systems do you have?
Ninja Gaiden Black, Sigma, or 2 are all fantastic action rpgs. It's basically Zelda with blood.
Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of The Abyss are all good games with combat set up like that. You get a party, but command them with tactics.
Infinite Undiscovery (from reading the manual) has a system similar to this
Tales of Symphonia 2, Dawn of the New World. Good game definitely.
Devil May Cry is an average games but I've heard good things about the combat
um.. Zelda Twilight Princess actually. He gets a lot of moves by finding those scroll quest things
The only other FF games that plays similarly to crises core would be FF12. I enjoyed it but it was far too long and borning. My mother got all of the treasures and espers and eventually got about 450 hours into it.

Lately, I'm starting to realize the greatness of Tirith.
I want Birth by Sleep. Ever since I first saw that movie at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2. Even though back then I didn't know what it was called, since it was not named.
Looking forward to playing 358/2 and Coded, but not nearly as much as Birth by Sleep.

There is so much to love about KH. I enjoy the Disney stuff mixed with the Final Fantasy stuff, even with the Little Mermaid parts.

its not about not liking the characters, its about refusing to play a game becasue it has disney characters in it because you think it somehow makes it for kids, which means you need to grow up, the game is one of the best games to come out of SE, and just becasue it has disney guys in it doesnt magiclly make the game for kids.

Yeah. The games for the most part have a pretty serious theme. Especially the second one. You do have to put up with some random disney stuff (KH2 atlantica, wtf?) but it's not game breakingly bad or anything. Most of it is actually really good even with the disney characters and worlds.

It has nothing to do with assuming its for kids.
In my case, it has everything to do with greatly disliking anything associated with Disney because of their War On Copyright Reform.
I protest the company, therefore I protest the products. The Disney characters are licensed by SE for Kingdom Hearts, and therefore Disney profits off the game.
Maybe I'd play it if someone loaned it to me, Idunno. So long as not a penny goes to Disney, I might eventually play it.

The problem with this argument is that KT has no hair on his balls, or anywhere else for that matter. All of his hair was singed off as part of the TFS initiation ceremony.

FFX, X-2, and XII. These are "group" games, so no solo-like play that you do with Zack.

i just went through the game, it does seem to be a bigger story if I did all the espers and tickets. . . but I didn't

I looked over and said I was starting number 2 (i had just the GBA game the day before, don't want to play on the GBA? They re-released the 3D version here in the states finally).
He stood up, took KH1 from me, went to his room, and started playing (on his ps2).
Once you get pass the Disney toons, and get involved with what the Story is going on about . . . it is awesome.
I feel sorry for people who will not touch the game because of the Disney toons.
It is a very, very good story.

Yeah there are parts I actually cried at. The story is so absorbing.
I feel deeply sorry for anyone that avoids KH for silly and stupid reasons. Yes, Catwho, I mean you. It's your loss. The rest of us that have played it know the truth and the compelling story and message. Honestly, if I could, I'd play them both right now just to relive all the fun stuff each game had. I hate Cloud and Sephiroth, but I enjoyed their part in the storyline.
As far as other FF games, you can play FF1-6 on the Game Boy. They are retro and the graphics are 8 and 16 bit, except with the revamps on 3 and 4. The games are solid and they'll give you a nice little evolution of the series.

Actually, I think FFIII was never released on the GBA, only the NDS.
FFI+II on the GBA
FFIV on the GBA
FFV on the GBA
FFVI on the GBA
FFIII on the NDS (Revamped, slightly modified storyline to produce more distinct characters)
FFIV on the NDS (Revamped, in 3D, some new battle elements added, NEW GAME+, etc.)
