I do see any proof of Nintendo being an excellent software creator.

Read the above edited for some of them

Look what I'm describing is nintendos problem with being a terrible console maker. Nintendo makes consoles and then doesn't let any other companies on to their console so much due to whatever reason, looses most of nintendo's third party investors. WIth the ds, for some reason, they are not loosing their thrid party investors.

Theory: If nintendo can provide good software and attract third party investors to a system,

But when nintendo makes a game, they make them right.

Metroid Zero Mission: a fantastic exploration game where you are all alone.

Hmm, I could never get a handle of the shooter controls with the DS... it just doesn't feel right. That ruined the Metroid games for me.

The psps saving grace is its graphics capability.

And it's native PSX compatiblity. So it can play PSX games without using an emulator.

That's true. Unfortunately I've played my psx into the ground in terms of almost everything I'd ever want to play on it.

It's a good multipurpose system. It's got great graphics, movies, online capability, and you could probably mod it to be a phone somehow (if ds can do it psp probably could)

It's just not a system for the games. If you want a high quality multi functional system that you can just carry around with you, that's great. If you want a game system, you need a DS.
