Well after buying this today and beating it on Normal in 7 hours I will give a short review.

First off the visuals and the sound are amazing. I never experienced any slow downs even when in the later missions with bad guys all over. Also the controls are spot on, once you learn them. Once you become confortable with the controls the game just flows, you start to notice paths and where to go.

The level pathing can sometimes be a bit tricky to figure out. There are multiple routes in most stages but sometimes you are forced to go a certain path and the only way you will find it is with a few deaths. Deaths will happen a lot especially if your trying to kill all the bad guys. With your death comes a revert to a checkpoint some checkpoints are better then others, youll see what I mean.

Another small nit pick is the disarming. It requires almost an instant press of the Y button when the weapon flashes red to do it. Makes some later missions hard when you actually need a gun to kill a few guys.

But other then some bad check points, and disarming people, the game is solid. I never felt bored doing the same thing over and over because finding new paths and running and doing all the jobs is just fun and flawless. If you dont want to buy it, I would suggest to rent it at least, its sucha fresh concept that was do so well, your just missing out.

I played the demo, and was really looking forward to picking up a copy, but 7 hours? Ratchet and Clank was longer than that. Bleh. Guess I won't be playing this till it comes way down in price.

Until a PC version hits us, I doubt I'll be seeing that game. I've been drooling about it since the first hints came about it on gamer sites though.

Just from the demo I can see the potential for some really killer game play. The controls are smooth-ish the only real hiccup to the controls is just how in depth they are. They're very tight controls, but there was a high learning curve for all the different types of movement and momentum. There is a lot of control involved in just your movement. And it's fun.

Just look at the shoulder buttons, L1 and L2 are for high and low movements. You're running, hit L1 and you jump, or scale a wall, or reach out for a ledge, or volley over a low platform. You're running, you hit L2 and you duck, you slide if you have enough momentum, you gain speed sliding down an incline, you are falling a bit too far, it will soften your landing. Those are just TWO buttons. When you add in the turn around button, R1 if I remember right, it goes a bit far, but that little nagging point is not enough to detract from the overall fun of just traveling through the environment.

Add missions, enemies, and a plot, and It can only get better.

7 hours is a bit short but I think on Hard it will be around 9, just do to fights being a lot harder. You can only play on hard once you've beaten the game once.

Also I dont want to pimp myself, but I pretty much hauled *** and pimp slapped this game. I got stck maybe 3 times the entire game and that was during 1 fight, and 2 puzzle rooms, where my timing kept being off.

I tend to pickup controls very well and progress through games pretty fast, beat halo 2 and 3 in 6-7 hours when they came out on second highest difficulty, beat gears of war 1 in 7, and gears of war 2 in 7, and resistance 1 in 7. I tend to pretty much plow through the game. Had I spent more time exploring and such i'm sure I would of taken longer, most levels ave several paths.
