I made it there with two: A herbivore Shaman and my Carnivore Warrior. The Herbivore is totally screwed. The Carnivore has dug into the Grox empire a good deal on one spiral, but defeating them will take months...

yeah no kidding, they need to allow you to appoint leaders of planets or something to take care of the miniscule ****.

And when you have a civ with full turrets it should be stronger. Way too much micromanaging to have to deal with in that stage.

Cciv with turrets are slightly stronger than civs without. But against the Grox they are next to useless. The orbital cannon is fairly awesome though. Nearly repelled the main ships in the raid single-handed... sadly one per planet SUXX

yah, when it came to fighting any invaders it was just too trying on my nerves. It just became a saga of me reloading over and over again. Maybe I was paying to much attention to details and not just going for the center of the universe or something. That seemed to be the thing to do. Instead, I spent time trying to chill and enjoy the space stage... unfortuanatly the planet stuff just doesn't get me.... perhaps if you could.. I really don't know; but it is missing something.

I loved it while I was playing it.
The creature designing was outstanding. I got a few friends hooked on it for a while and their kids and we were showing off our creatures to each other.

I made a bucktoothed fairy race, lizard men, frog people, elves, and dragon guys. Those are the ones that made it to space. wootles.

good times

aye. I enjoy the space stage, until a planet light years away gets attacked.

I wanted to try the Ominvore stage, so my main goals were to create trade route, buy out the planet/universe, and take over worlds by destructive force (If i wanted the planet, I would just flop down a few machines to change the temp. and watch stuff freeze lol).
