A couple things for those of you thinking of getting the game.
1. Securom. Digital rights management copy protection. If I had known this was on it before i bought it, I might not have bought it.
2. Gameplay is very fun. you still can't zoom out far enough for the full effect of 1 or 2, but i can see why they didn't. Uses alot of graphics horsepower, first game i have had to crank my water cooling fans n the radiator higher than default in a long time...
2. There are some issues. The "you get a co commander every mission you play regardless of if you want one or not" feature is reallly annoying. I can always build better than a computer, so don't saddle me with a resource vampire that will spend the next 2 hours destroying things in the most stupid, backwards way possible. Or if you do, at least let me destroy it at will!
There are bugs in several of the allied and soviet campaign missions that will render you unable to build the higher end weapons that you need to do the mission properly, frcing you to rely on mass waves of smaller units. It is really annoying to be told "commander, you can now build the assault destroyer" only to be informed that no, you really can't haha just kidding, you built everything correctly and cannot unbuild it, but still we dont recognize that you did.
No spoilers, but the end movie of the allied campaign goes from glorious, to "why the **** did you put that in there????!!!!" You'll see.
Best soundtrack i think. they include a nice mix of the origional red alert 1 hellmarch theme song and then mix it into the new one. works well.
