I just got it yesterday, but have not had any time with it yet. I will try it out here soon, though, and probably get online with it Smiley: grin

I just picked this up on Sunday. I just passed the wedding stage. Haven't fiddled with creation stuff yet, I'd like to at least run through the full story once before I start getting online to try for perfects. I'm not too terribly thrilled with the physics of controlling sackboy, but I can adapt. Just seeing what the game creators have made, and watching youtube videos of other people's levels, I can't wait, this is a game that will only get better the longer it's out. I see some really amazing things coming out of this game.

I sat over at my bro's house and watched him play. At no point during development did I get excited about this game. After he gave me the tour of his level and a couple others, this opinion didn't change. Seriously, what is the appeal of this game? Creating theme based levels? Sharing them with others? From what I saw, the game is a boring side scrolling adventure without much excitement. Granted it's a pretty one, but I can think of plenty of games I'd rather spend my time on.

It's exciting because of the possibility for some really amazing user created content. It really is the youtube of platformers. Yes, there is a lot of crap being published for it right now, and there is a small percentage of really quality levels. Azure palace is awesome, the sackhouette couple of levels just look cool, and are decent levels. It's just fun.

I'm already not liking the mechanic some people are using, you can basically hit a fire hazard once without dying, I'm getting really tired of seeing levels that force you to bounce across fire to make the jump to the next bit. I would be ok with using that mechanic for getting to a secret area, but not as a repeated level mechanic.

It's just a fun bit of software, a solid platformer with multiplayer, and all the tools to create whatever you can imagine. For those of us that love fiddling with things, this is a great game.

Yup, pretty much an 'IMO' moment. I can see why it's liked, it just won't be anywhere on my list if I obtain a PS3 in the future.
