Coming back?Follow

So, I used to play EQOA a loooong time ago, but quit during the Beta that increased the graphics, I forget the name, on the Ps2. I think I had a level 50-ish Mage.

What is required to come back if I wanted to mess around? I see a lot of people talking about Ps3, it's on there? I never would have imagined it was a Ps3 game at this point, or that the servers would even still be running? Is it possible to play on a Ps2?

I don't even remember what server I played on or where my old disc is (if it's still playable on Ps2, that is).

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

I just happened to come accross Allakhazam while researching something and found my alla account still available, then found these forums and was shocked people still played.

okay, well, I found Station and retrieved my old username for that site, but I still don't know if that's the same name I use to log into the game or not, and if not ... lol, /sigh

I'm hoping if I can find a used copy of it and reactivate my account I'll be able to just log in and sort through the server names and find my old character. I remember I had so many rare things on it, like glowing shields, a sword useable by my Mage that had been discontinued, etc.

Has anybody else recently come back to the game that had some initial start up issues getting back onto an old acocunt, that can tell me what the process of getting in was like?

Well, the ps3 talk is if you buy...And don't quote me if I am wrong. The 40 something or another ps3 thingy. That is compatible with the eqoa online crap. But hell if you don't have a ps3 don't worry about it. Its a ps2 game.

To get started. Well, retrieve your username and all that fun stuff. Get to the log in screen and just type it in. BUT, make sure you buy EQOA.Frontiers. -Everquest Online Adventures Frontiers. That is the upgraded version. Which, if you don't have. The game is like eating poptarts -yuck-

Your old characters that you have will switch over to that. And the new level cap. along with..like crapola stuff is new. Including Forms. and Master classes. and CMS- Class masteries. Just far to much to list.

hmm what else am I forgetting. I know a lot. But it's about 5am and I need some sort of sleep. If anymore questions I am sure the other..few..people that are active here can help you.

They know more then me xD..

It's not as PS3 game, its just that a lot of people own PS3s but still play the game. It does load faster sometimes tho.

Like the above person said get the expansion version or you will be shafted in gameplay.

Once you get a copy you should just have to download updates, log in with old account, and then enter payment info, and play.

Does anybody know, is the logon for EQOA the same as my Station ID?

I haven't found a copy of Frontiers yet, but hopefully will soon.
