bag and box spaceFollow

There is a huge debate raging on the O-forums regarding whether or not we have enough bag/bank & house storage.

I believe we do not and in fact it is my primary complaint with the game & the biggest reason I so seldom log in. Then when I compare it to the amount of room available in EQ or EQ2, I think the space situation in LotRO just plain sucks!

But I thought I would throw the question out here and see what came back...

Do you folks think we have enough room in our backpacks/bank boxes & home storage chests or are you always wishing for a few slots more?

Sorta. Yes and No.....

I recently got my stuff organised, wich is to say, all my hides go to my hide processor for storage. All my ore goes to another alt till its needed. All my rep stuff gets handed in and stored for a minimum time, etc etc...

While I agree that more space could be useful, I think having more personal bag-space is not needed, but rather a key-ring for all those bl**dy keys I pick up, and perhaps, maybe, a separate inventory for all those quest items you get given, but end up not using straight away, would be nice. Age of Conan has this idea and its nice to not have to fill up your bags with things like siege engine parts and broken cross bows for quests in Angmar or wherever, while your tooling around in Evendim.

If I have too much rubbish in my bin, I need to empty it out, not buy another bin, 'cos i just know I'll fill that up with more rubbish. So on balance, no I dont think we need more space as such, the space just needs to be better used.

I'm out of space and don't craft. I can't even imagine.....

I have empty space in my house chest, but everything seems to be bound. Seems reasonable to be able to put a slotted bag or box into a bankslot.

I have posted many times on the Forums about this. No, not enough storage room. Something needs to be done.

Here are my main issues with stuff limiting inventory space:

1. Keys. Why does ONE key need to take up an inventory space when you can cram 50 ingots into one? Put keys on a key chain separate from inventory.

2. Quest items. Various turn-in stuff, notes etc. Do these need to take up space? Have some quest-only accumulator that holds items for up to 40 quests.

3. Barter items. Every rep has 2 or 3 kinds, plus the armor barter items they introduce with each update. This whole idea needs to be removed from inventory in some way.

If they just took the above items out of inventory it would help.

4. Bound Decoration Items

I can have but one house for all my characters, yet if they have some 'special' decoration, only they can handle it, and it cannot be stored IN THE HOUSE.

What I would like to see for the house is for EACH character to be able to purchase a self-only chest for the house. Actually I would like to see more than one container:

In addition to a shared chest, each character on your account that owns a house can purchase:

A. A wardrobe to store up to 2 sets of armor.
B. A weapons locker to hold up to 6 weapons
C. A jewelry box to hold 2 sets of jewelry.
D. Storage closet to hold up to 6 house items, bound or not. If one of your other characers replaces a bound decoration, it goes to storage if available.

This would make house ownership very desirable. Imagine having a house that really works like a house: a place to keep your stuff!
