Not sure if Elinda will be around to start this so I will, even though I didn't do much in-game this weekend.

Friday: Spent my time in-game duoing quests in the North Downs on my champion. I partnered up with 2 different minstrels(one was from DBS Blacksheep). Both guys were good players and I made quite a bit of progress through the quest lines.

Saturday: Dealt with Tropical Storm Hannah. Didn't do much damage to us and the power never went out, but I fully expected it to so I didn't get in-game. Storm was over by the late afternoon. I watched a ton of college football, including the huge ECU win!

Sunday: Left for Richmond at 8AM and spent all day at the race track. The NASCAR races scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights had both been postponed to Sunday due to the storm, and my wife and I went to both of them Sunday. We got home about 2:30 in the morning, but we had a blast so its worth being miserable on Monday:)

Got my brand new minstrel Tremolo to 25. Also did all deeds for his traits in Ered Luin, Shire, Bree, and Lone Lands. Healed GB, which was a blast! I'm definitely a healer at heart.

Ready to start on North Downs!

I don't know why it is but I love seeing bards and minstrels named in a musical theme. I just hope Tremelo's instrument of choice is a '54 strat!

It's a theorbo. I love inspiring fellows with my thrashing solos, Middle Earth style.

Did a run thru Bk14chap13 on friday.

Without giving anything away, its an excellent instance! You get your first(ish) glimpse of the new areas coming in the MoM expansion, and the fight is pretty long and intense. Well it is until you figure out what is going on and the strat. you need to take Smiley: blush. 5 of us went into it completely blind, and it took us nearly an hour to complete.

The ending is just magnificent, and has a couple of elements that I havnt seen before in LoTRO. The storyline of vol.1 is bought to a fantastic conclusion. In fact it was so dramatic and the fight so tense, that i managed to leave the instance before talking to the npc who completes the mission. D'oh! And because you cant get back in after you've left, I had to do the whole thing again a couple of days later. The second time thru (also with 5) was MUCH faster, but no less intense, and the ending was well worth a 2nd visit. It was at least as good as that chapter in one of the earlier books where you get to fight the Nazgul in the ice caves. (forget the bk now). I got these shoulders as the final reward. Rate ups for turbine!

Also managed to do a couple of those angmar missions. Also a lot easier when you're familiar with the strategy!

Lots of mining too, trying to get to GM metalsmith before the journey to lvl 60 starts.

Started playing my Guardian again as well. He's more fun than i remember. And seeing an xp gain is nice too. I got him sorted with his 3k heal and he's now camped in the Trollshaws with intention of getting his Armour of the Forest set.

A good few days!

I was vacationing for the last week and a half. Did some touring in Quebec, some relaxing at my Dad's place in WI, some reminiscing with my sisters in MN and finally scoped out my daughters new pad in NY.

During my travels I stopped by the Shire (I am apparently hobbit-sized). Thought I'd drop in and say 'hey' to the Bagginses. The door was wide open so I went on in. Seems no one was home, however.

The Minnesota Ren Faire, while one of the oldest and biggest, has a pretty cheesy Hobbit hole:/
