I know it's still technically weekend, but....

I joined a kin on an attempt at Balrog late last week with my Minstrel. We wiped on the Overseer.

Playtime this weekend was all, once again, on my warg. I've had a couple successful 1v1 matches now (and a couple not so successful). I've got a STAR, and am closing in on rank 6. I surprise myself at how much I'm liking PvMP, but the Moors are simply too small to make it a full blown game and keep people interested for the long-run. Apped to Darkfall beta:)

Heading oot for the next week+. Have fun in Middle-Earth.

This telling people what to do, how to equip etc, how to play, seems to be much more prevalent than it was in EQ...maybe its the 'inspect' feature.

It seems very arrogant to me and I'm willing to bet the concept comes out of WoW. I'm sure it doesn't come from EQ2 (where inspect is also common) because I have been playing that game since launch and have NEVER experienced it or even heard of it happening there.

I'm assuming that it was some sort of PUG that you got involved in Elinda?? I'm afraid I would have told him to ***-off with his demands, and find another minstrel. I've never personally come accross this in any of the games I've played, and if i did, that person would go on/ignore pretty quick.

Apart from that...spent a bit of time farming pristine and exceptional hides to do some tailoring with, killing Dorfs in Forachel to get the Fidelity +1 trait for the Shadow mitigation in preparation for this weeks rift run, and some kin related shenanigans.

First half of last nights Rift went swimmingly with no deaths, and we are back in this evening to kill Thrang. I missed out on the Gloves evn tho only 3 of us still needed them, but I guess i'm not gonna win them with a roll of 9 anyway Smiley: disappointed. Maybe be luckier with the shoulders tonight, or a weapon or /fingers crossed, the balrog will drop Wigfeld.

I did score the Cloak of Ancient Ruins wich looks lurvly as a cosmetic thingy as a consolation prize.

Either way its all good fun!

Not a ton of playtime for me this weekend. Labor Day weekend is when the fantasy football leagues I'm in traditionally do their drafts, so I've been pretty busy with that this weekend.

Did have a blast on one thing Friday night. I was running my champ and posted in the glff channel looking for more for Retake Weathertop. 3 50's from the kin(thanks Kit, Dot and Grey) immediately decided to run it with us. Total overkill is always a blast.

Only other thing I remember doing this weekend was running the champ with a very good PUG through several of the Lonelands group quests.

Just to add....

Balrog down with no deaths....Its getting too easy now Smiley: cool

Still, a great fight when everyone works as a tight team tho...Missed out on weapon, shoulders, gloves and Wigfeld /Roll, but that just means it'll be just as exciting next time.

Really looking forward to MoM's release, and have finally cancelled AoC for the time being.

I joined a kin on an attempt at Balrog late last week with my Minstrel. We wiped on the Overseer. I was kind of amazed; the kin/raid leader MADE me replace some of my jewelry with some he had (he gave it to me, THEN checked to make sure I had it equipped). Netted me a whopping 70 additional hp...at the cost of in-combat power regen. As it was, I ran out of power...never health:/ I didn't say a thing to him, but really wanted to. He also scolded me if I tried to dps (I did it anyways). This telling people what to do, how to equip etc, how to play, seems to be much more prevalent than it was in EQ...maybe its the 'inspect' feature.

Hmm, not sure I should say. Hate to get caught up in all the drama that seems to swirl around Meneldor's Moors;)

I gotta say though, that last time I was able to log in (last Monday night) I was in a raid being run by Circuit City. What a riot. We were essentially playing hide and seek with the freeps between GV and TR HS. Circuit had us hiding behind rocks, or circling around and sneaking up behind the freep raid, or ALL 20 of us hiding behind one tree (yes, it works!) and everytime we were able to take the freeps by surprise and slaughter them. In the hour and a half a played a gained a complete star (that's two now) and well over 1k infamy. Cudo's to Circuit City:)

There's a tribe named Circuit City now? Or do you mean Cereal Killerz? And, would I know you? (Mendra/Lothemos/Fardaan)

No, Circuit is actually the WL's name. City his surname.
