So'ok. I'm gonna try and carry over here the long-standing EQ forum tradition of a weekend update.
Here goes....
Friday I got logged on late and was just sneaking around Annuminas. I have one plaque left to find for one of the new deeds. I got caught and demoralized. I popped back at the little island respawn circle and attempt to swim to Tinnudir where a friend was waiting. No go...Tinn was surrounded by an invisible wall to me. I was not simply rubber-banding, I was not moving at all. I log out, log in...same thing. I am able to go east on the road, so give it a try. End of story is I'm 'rubberbanding' (funny term) while in a perpetual slide down a hill. Eventually I must have taken enough damage to die, as die I did. I crashed while on my way to the repop circle. I didn't bother logging back in. Many servers, Meneldor amongst them, came down shortly after.
Jumped on Saturday morning to do the server ring-lore quest and check the AH as I'm watching for a decently priced Rune of Winged Dominance. I got sucked into a group for The Garden Annuminus instant. It actually went smoothly and was a success! (but I didn't win roll for pauldron piece).
Saturday night we went into town for some music and our local fireworks. so I did log in but it was late again. Joined a group in CD from a kin that's been courting me. Was alot of fun, seems like a nice laid back group.
Sunday logged on in the morning again to check the AH and do my part to for the ring-lore...blah blah.
Sunday evening I finished up the mail run in the shire - I had done previously, not quite half. After that I did the entire pie collection quest - nailing my third deed for the evening. Hungry Hobbits are the scariest mob of the whole game. Just before log-out, I check the AH and there was a rune of winged dominance down to 10g! (They'd been going for 17-20g). I bought it. I know I paid too much and prices will probably come down. I know I should have perservered to see my own rune drop from the mob (only have seen one - and I didn't even get to roll as it was spoken for). But, I've needed this drop for too long and the trait it was holding up is too important for a Minstrel. So I bought it.
I end my LoTRO weekend a penniless Minstrel.
How was your gaming weekend?
