Support made me quit SWG (was forum=4)Follow

Hi!

On January the 27th 2007 I created a Star Wars Galaxy trial account.
I liked the game and so i decided to go into a shop to buy the expansions.
I found a software package with box expansions +30 day game time (that was 6 or 7 days after the account creation). I Installed the expansions and everything was fine, at least for 7 days... The day the trial would have expired my account got closed. So i went into a chat with a supporter. After a 30 minute conversation i got some free game time but the account was set back to trial (Good thing the lv53 char i made in these few days was in Kashyyk at that time). I created a new character and started over again. Today i come back from work and notice that my account is closed.. so i contacted the support again... here is a very interesting chat:

TSR Nick M.: You need to update your billing information to play the game.
You: i see
TSR Nick M.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
You: how can i do that without directly making a new subscription?
TSR Nick M.: I would suggest you to login on to your account then go to account and edit/subscription.
You: well.. when i go to "manage subscription" it just leads me to making a new subscription
TSR Nick M.: Yes.
TSR Nick M.: You have to make new subscription.
You: You wanna tell me that the I can only play the game and use the 30 days i bought when i make another subscription?
TSR Nick M.: One moment please.
TSR Nick M.: Sorry for the wait. I'm still looking into the issue at this time.
TSR Nick M.: Unfortunately, you will not get the free 30 days.
You: well.. they are not for free when i go into a shop and pay for them
You: they were included in a software box and i dont get them?
You: give me one good reason why i do not get the game time i payed for?
TSR Nick M.: As you have already availed the free time period.
You: ehhmm... even when you would count 30 days on from the day i created the trial the 30 days would not be over now
TSR Nick M.: One moment please.
You: besides the fact i payed for playing the game with expansions and not just being able to use the trial features
TSR Nick M.: We will grant you the free days but exclude the number of days you have been granted.
You: thats all i wanted
TSR Nick M.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
You: when will i be able to login again?
TSR Nick M.: You will be only able to avail your free days after you subscribe to game.
You: k so we are back in the beginning
You: well... i guess its useless.. i just quit swg.... no sense to pay for this
TSR Nick M.: You will not be charged for the first 20 days, if you don't want to continue you can cancel your subscription before the next billing date.
You: but not when i have to subscribe using global collect
You: and thats the only way for me to pay
TSR Nick M.: Unfortunately, you will have to pay if you subscribe through global collect but you can cancel your subscription after first billing.

I logged in to LOTRO last night right after you camped, but I still caught a whiff of your sweet, sexy, vodka-infused musk.

I tried getting into the LOTRO beta, no response yet and it's been at least 3 days :(

I have been a SWG user for over a year - but only last month did I buy any expansions - I paid 20 quid for the COA pack and my primary goal was to get the free AT-RT, I did not have anything else in mind, but if I read Ibave's initial post correctly, he may have misread the bit about 30 free days for new subscribers only - which it says clearly on the back of my box.

if u want the 30 days free u need a new account

even if u had the trial it counts as an established account

come on its just another F*kin loop hole SOE uses.

but in sayin so the COA is a good thing to have and saves u alot of money on expansions, plus the AT RT which goes on my server for at least 40mill and is unnatainable any other way.

so i belive what happened happend at least to some extent, its def a likely senario

If after my 14 day trial I register the game and pay as normal, I do keep my character from the trial, right?
Also, what exactly is NGE?

I don't care about free time, I just don't want to lose my character once I buy my subscription lol

After reading this thread, all I see is poeple complaining that they did not get something they did not pay for.....thus the word "Free". So you didn't get your 30 trial. Get over it.....you have a choice in this. If you don't like how it was handled.....do what he did. Cancel your subscription...it's pretty easy. This is a game.....a G A M E find something real to stress about. I bought my COA and didn't get the 30 trial, but you didn't see me ******* about it on a forum that will do absolutely nothing for your account problems. While I'd like to think this was a heads up for everyone here. I don't think this is the case. I just think this guy tried to work SOE for some free play time and they told him kiss off unless you subscribe.....isn't this the point OF the free trial to get you to play so you will pay. Thats what I thought. If you are just looking for a MMOG to play....go find another one please, becaues I don't wanna hear or read complaining when I smoke your a** in space or on the ground, because you did not get something you did not earn or pay for.
