Free Entertainment (was forum=19)Follow

So I burned out on most of my characters over the last few days (cars in the shop and a bit too much free time) and got pretty friggin bored. I saw just about everything funny to see on the internet and one of the things was a spoof of some 2d MMO called MapleStory. How lame looking, I though, why would anyone pay for that.

Well... they wouldn't. It's entirely free. Well this got me sorta interested. I mean, sure I've played a few open Betas and stuff (GunZ comes to mind) but a full version MMO for free? I looked around. Theres alot of cool stuff out there. Alot of the MMO world seems to be making their way the Sony Exchange makes a little on the side, by incorporating real USDs into the game system. There was even this crazy one called Project Entropia where apparently you litterally buy EVERYTHING with USD and sell it back for the same. Not only that, but you can sell back into your bank and transfer that money out into your actual bank account... I thought that was interesting! They litterally got their own Stock Market, average Interest/mortgage rates, and property values.

Anyways, that crap sounded way too risky for me, but I did find some other cool stuff out there. I just got done playing FlyFF (For Free) which is a sorta cartoony (about as bad as WOW) MMO about killing cute little anime creatures and stuff. Kinda gave me a headache~ It got good reviews, and holy hell it had 4 servers each with 4 of their own servers (so 16) and that thing was crowded!!

There were a few really amazing looking games out there - "Knight Online" and "Supreme Destiny" stood out - that kinda blew my mind. I havn't played them yet, and I'm essentially garenteeing that they're lacking content, debugging, and balancing that EQ2 has... but still... It's freakin free!!

I may give a few more of these games a try actually, when I burn out on EQ again. I really went into that whole thing thinking "what scams... somehow" but some of those games seem truely amazing~

Just wonderin if any of you play any cool free MMOs on the side like those that I havn't seen. Hell I'm willin to download a 500 meg file to try out a new MMO for free~ =)
