Okay, so, I hit level 90... Stop judging me...
Anyway. I've finished the first 3 zones, and haven't set foot in any of the others.
The farm isn't nearly as interesting as I expected it to be. At least, from what the quests looked like. I thought it would be more about growing things to meet orders, expanding your farm, etc. - not just random sleezing up to NPCs and growing cooking ingredients.
What exactly is the point of this? What keeps it fun over time?
I've enjoyed questing, but not as much as I enjoyed it in Wrath. The writing of the quests themselves is great (though I've found I usually hate any sort of cutscene event), but the flow of the quests into one another (which is the one thing Cata did really well) is bad. I'm so often finishing a quest line and thinking, "Wait, what? That's it? Where the hell do I go now?"
I didn't really like Krasarang much at all. I always hate the Nesingwary hub. But I liked Jade Forest well enough, and Valley was fun. I actually liked the Valley the most in the beginning; it was less fun to me once the insect guys came into play. I wish it had ended with the Stormstout Brewery (which I haven't run yet).
I don't know which dungeons I've run (two with insects, two with shado-pan, one with Mogu, iirc). I was honestly bored through most of them. Maybe I just need to respec to a Tank to try and make things more interesting. I have no clue why someone thought it would be fun to put THIS many stuns into a game (comment applies to both dungeons and solo), but yeah. The biggest annoyance, for my DK, is the sheer extent of local area AoE. I feel like I'm spending more time standing around than I am fighting (okay, exaggeration).
I've enjoyed my time with pet battles. Dunno if it would keep my attention, but it's been fun enough so far.
I still don't really like my DK. Enjoy him more than I did at level 85, but now I'm just spending most of my time annoyed that he has to be in melee range to do anything.
Final note: I've seen so much Shammy gear dropping in dungeons.
Other stuff:
Music - Don't think I've particularly noticed any of it.
Art- The game is beautiful (in those first 3 zones). Jade Forest is my preferred zone, so far.
Story- I'm very happy that the first three zones have minimal horde vs. alliance stuff, because I'm not interested. I hope they really hold off on that for a while longer. We have interesting plot threads with the Sha and the insect people and the celestials. And I guess the Mogu, though they've done way too little to flesh them out for how much I've fought them. Let me explore those. That said, the game definitely feels unfocused. I'm meandering through plot points, not following them.
It feels out of place for my DK to just be wandering through the world like that. Like, I don't understand the motivation for moving forward at this point. I'm not looking for the Prince, it's not Alliance vs. Horde, I'm not seeking a response to the Sha, I'm not trying to master martial combat. I'm not even traveling/exploring. I just... am in Pandaria.
Systems stuff- Still hate the new talent system, don't like this spec system, don't like mastery as a stat. Gearing is really uninteresting now (at least for DKs). Our secondaries are way too close to make it all that fun, and there don't seem to be any particularly interesting stat relationships (a la ArPen).
To be 100% honest, I could uninstall the game right now and not feel like I'm really missing out. That's a big deal, considering I'm halfway through the zones and should be past the point where I really want to see more of this continent, experience its quests, etc.
I'm gonna continue on (because might as well, I paid for the month already). But yeah.
