Well, it's Monday. Thankfully, it doesn't feel like a Monday, at least not yet. So how did everybody do on their goals this weekend?

Gaming Goals:
I managed to log onto Star Wars for a couple hours Saturday morning while the little one was still sleeping, but I didn't get a whole lot done. As expected, WoW did not get any love.

Real Life Goals:
It was a nice, relaxing weekend. I got the little one's cothing situation under control. We went to the park Sunday. I actually feel refreshed after a weekend for the first time in a long time. On the other hand, I am not the property of a young chinese woman and am deeply saddened by that. I don't think Rhode is trying hard enough.

Goals as follows:

Quote:
Gonna try to get my Rogue leveled up some and run my friend through some instance to help
him out.

Accomplished: Rogue 81 > 82
Helped friend by running him through 3 instances (WC, SM) to help him with gear, gold, and got him a level as well. (24 > 25)

WOW: Keep trying to figure out how to play a Druid as Balance rather than Ballast and get her gear a bit more raid suitable.

It was ugly. I managed to make it through LFR on Friday night as a training run. The weekend was a mess because China Telecom had problems that took down most of the Guangdong servers as well as service for a number of guild members. I just got out of the guild run tonight. Deathwing is down; ignore the Moonkin feathers stuck between the toes of various henchmen. Smiley: nod Between the two runs, I got 4/5 for the set. Olwen is a Nelf, but has a measure of dignity. She did her dancing on the mailbox as a Moonkin.

Since the servers were a mess, I ended up playing the latest Hunter just a bit much; I started as a freshly dinged 82 with the heirloom helmet and cloak (plus guild bonus and full rested XP) and ended the weekend dinging 85. Oops, I did it again?

Try to stick with the Flamelands dailies and open up the next set.

Yep, made the first 150 point turn in. I was skinning those spiders anyway, might as well get the dailies.

RL: It looks like a quiet weekend. Bun-Bun is probably busy with family, so I'll stay home and enjoy Azeroth. It keeps me out of the Beijing air and that's a good thing.

Bun was busy and the cottonwoods have left baseball sized wads of allergy inducing fluff everywhere. Oh, yeah, now I remember why I dinged 85 on that Hunter.

You. Are not. Prepared!

[You have to PM me a pedigree and some specs. You cannot imagine how cutthroat the dating market is here and with the way politics look from over here, I may have to say you're Canadian. Smiley: sly]

Well hell, if they have to know something about me beforehand the deal is off. And here I was thinking the young Chinese ladies were falling all over themselves for a strapping American lad.

DS tonight - Tuesday didn't go well at all despite the high from downing Madness on Monday night. We were missing a key healer and we were unusually melee heavy. Hopefully people will be nice and rested and ready to steamroll tonight. Heh

We steamrolled from boss 2 (downed boss 1 on Tuesday) through Spine so we're gonna go back and do Madness tonight assuming people show up.

ICC Saturday night - working on finishing up a few things for people for the mount achievement.

Some more people got mounts - yay

Quote:
General stuff - play alts, farm gear, do Arch - usual stuff.

Did stuff - nothing overly exciting - poked around on the Beta for a bit too.

Quote:
Real life - gonna go do some stuff at my mom's old house Saturday morning - go visit family Sunday afternoon

Family stuff all went fine. :)

Smiley: laugh I see that I've tried to keep me posts here somewhat WOW related. Like any social interaction here, dating is complicated. PM me for stories.

Main week-end goal:

FINISH MY PORTFOLIO!!!

The content (50 reflections on things I've done in the field of education) is pretty much done, but now I have to proofread the whole thing, add in references, write a final reflection, etc. It's due Monday, and it's basically what I've done over the past 4 years.

Also:
Write cover letter and work on job-searching.

Probably not much WoW.

Not bad. Finished the portfolio, but got sick in the process. Stupid stomach stress thing. Got one cover letter done, but realized I need to do a second one. And of course, both will have to be tweaked for specific jobs.

I started the beta for MoP because I like helping out, but won't probably get much action until after May 1.

Went on my first raid - and participated in three totally spectacular group wipes in Dragon Soul. Ran Hour of Twilight dungeons at least six times, got my head handed to me more than once, but came out of the weekend with some really excellent gear that I really needed. Took my jewel crafting from 100 to 390 while my bank account went from under 16K to just under 20K, mostly from selling all the excess ores and jewels I had stockpiled before changing professions.

One weird thing, though. I dumped 525 level skinning to take up jewel crafting, then went flying about squirreling away high level ores to prospect for jewels. Its really hard sometimes suppressing a knee-jerk reaction when a beast with a great hide, like a dragon or core hound, walks in front of you when you're out digging ore. Its almost a visceral reaction to am and fine, which is ridiculous since without the hide or XPs, the kill is totally worthless.
