That Vortex is so going to get nerfed 
Soooo . . . warlocks get new demons which are a) friggin huge and b) loaded with pvp talents (and a rainbow) which means that likely 90% of PVE locks will be stuck using the same pet still/again anyway? It sounds like the gave the Shivan all the Succubus' abilities (and a rainbow) so did we lose the Sucubus?
My lock was my original main. Haven't done a lot with him in Cata because his dps is simply way behind my other classes. I had always been somewhat bummed that of the pets they did get though, there were some that just weren't viable dps options. For a brief span earlier in Cata the Succubus was actually pretty equal to the hound and it was a blast finally actually being able to use her for once. Then they nerfed it and was back to the hound.
Hunters actually got a pretty good deal this go-round in that most pets are viable/competitive depending on composition so they aren't "stuck" with the same pet the entire expansion. If they're going to add lock pets, I'd like to see them take the same direction so I'm hoping that, utility aside, the dps evens out across them a bit so you won't be forced into using the same one all the time.

My current understanding is that the new demons replace the old ones if you take Grimoire of Supremacy.
Edit: Looking at the choices of talents there, it looks like the DPS increase will be quantifiable between the 3 specs. Part of me would be surprised of the new pets were actually the top DPS pic there. I mean new pets vs. +15% damage vs. 2 pets with 25% up-time on the 2nd. I suppose I can only speculate, but the other two seem like pretty solid buffs.

They could really use something along those lines. With 3 DPS specs you're going to have one that does slightly better, with a preferred pet. I mean I enjoyed PvPing with my lock. I got good use out of the blueberry and succy there, but yeah, new pets need a reason to use them. Buffs were a good idea for hunters. I don't know if that'd work with locks (I mean we already have 1 class doing that, and there aren't so many lock pets).
Either way I'll be going out of my way to find excuses to use as many of the new ones as I can I bet.
