Anyway heres a question for you folks. What do you do for fun in game that you enjoy? Maybe I can pick up a new in game hobby! =)
I second (or third) the suggestion to pick a gathering profession and do it while out questing, farming, or exploring. My main has mining/engineering. I am so glad I chose a gathering profession when I first began because I find it so much fun to be traveling from here to there or questing, see a yellow node on my mini-map and veer off saying, "Ooooo, shiny!"
Since I'm so new to the game, my main enjoyment is following the quest chains and really getting into the spirit of the lore. Some of the quests are apparently relatively new. I'll tell my friend who has been playing WoW for a long time about some and she has never heard of them and wants to go check them out. As examples, I've "been" a raptor hatchling; had my own gypsy caravan that traveled throughout various areas, stopping to fight/quest along the way; been reprimanded by an Ogre that I shouldn't kill and then proceeded to show a "better way" to me; shot out of cannons; killed mobs by sitting in a gun turret and spinning around; maneuvered a motorcycle-type vehicle through a hail of falling rocks, etc.
I'm also having a lot of fun learning the ins and outs of the AH. I'm still like a kid at Christmas when I see the little envelope signaling usually successful sales.
Recently began pet collecting, but each pet has a "story" connected to it so each one is meaningful and brings back a memory from the game.
