It must be a US thing, because I can't see what's so bad about him.

Granted, I haven't been watching the news lately.

No, the fact that he's easily one of the five worst presidents of the U.S. EVER means you should hate him. You should hate the jokes because they are too true to be funny.
At least it's a big step up from the previous guy, right? Smiley: wink

It's a lateral step from the last 2 years of the previous guy. A lot of conservatives, like myself, hate to admit it, but Bush was terible his last 2+ years in office. The reason he was terrible is because he started throwing money around like nobody had before. It didn't help that he had no congressional support for any of the programs and policies he would have liked to have implemented.

I can also admit that President Barry took over what was already a very bad economy. However, everything he has done since taking over has just made it worse, and he can't even admit that he made mistakes.

I really think he's going to be a one term president, but if he's not I hope the conservatives can at least take control of both houses of Congress. The situation now with a Republican majority in the House and a Democrat majority in the Senate means nothing gets done, and nothing getting done certainly isn't going to help the country recover.

I really don't want to get into a huge political debate in the WoW channel, but you can click on the spoiler box if you want to see my answer to this question. Obama ran on a platform of Obamacare, or socialized health care in America. The only problem is that the majority of the people who voted for him didn't WANT Obamacare, they just didn't want Bush, Jr (McCain) and Governor Dopey (Palin) to be elected. So, despite well over half the country not being in favor of Obamacare, Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress forced it down our throats. Thankfully, there's a pretty good chance it's going to be overturned by the Supreme Court. Obamacare is the main example of Obama forcing an agenda that his constituents don't want, but it is by far the only one

The other thing that's so bad about him is the corruption. Bush may have been a dimwitted puppet for the Republican party, but he ran a pretty clean ship. The corruption in the Obama administration is so bad, it's starting to come out while he's still president, which hardly ever happens. It's pretty normal for corruption to come out a few years after a president leaves office, but there are only a few instances where there were as many shady deals that came to light during his term as there have been with Obama.

Those are the two main things a lot of people have a problem with in regards to Obama.

Edit: There, is that better Moon?

Bigdaddyjug, I like you, you should get rid of that last post. Not because I feel that you should be censored, but because I believe that you were truthful when you said:

Everything that followed that statement is actually inciting a political argument. You probably should have sent that via an PM.

I would argue that MF bringing up the president, or even Pigtails saying she dislikes Nuck Chorris because he's a birther, incited the political discussion (it's hardly an argument at this point, and I won't personally devolve to name-calling or anything like that).

Anyway, that's the last I'll say in this thread about anything remotely political.

So what you're saying is Ben Bernanke is an evil genius who needs to be stopped before he succeeds at his plans for world domination?

Sounds like a job for....Nuck Chorris.

Bush was a ****** for 8 years, not just 2 if you ask me. And with what the GOP is currently fielding I wouldn't bet on Obama losing. Then again, I'm Dutch and compared to the politicians here Obama is pretty far to the right. But I also have a problem with most GOP candidate's incessant whining and droning on about how lower taxes is the answer to everything and how everything the government does, aside from blowing up other countries, is ruining their precious "freedom". Freedom that all too often comes down to social control (hai abortion, gay marriage and anything other than abstinence only sex-ed) and letting people rot if they can't take care of themselves for whatever reason rather than actual freedom. That all said, that's mostly the (far) right side of the GOP.
There, I had to get that out of my system.

Smiley: nod

Well it's weird in that it's quasi-public health care. You know everyone has to buy it, and you can buy it from the government if you choose too. Something like that IIRC. It's kind of an odd cobbled-together thing frankly. But, you know, politics... Smiley: lol

And not really everybody has to buy it, just people who weren't big enough Obama supporters didn't ask nicely enough to get an exemption. Oh, and muslims.

I thought it was publicly funded health care.

You know, higher taxes in exchange for free health care when you need it? The healthy pay for the unhealthy, the wealthy for the not so wealthy, kumbaya, etc.?

We're heading for a thread lock very quickly, I think, so let's change the topic!

I really do hope they remake the original races. They've been hinting recently that they're working on it, and if this turns out to be the new human models, I don't think I would complain. I think we might be able to expect revamped models with MoP.

We can't do that. It would take away our liberty. Smiley: oyvey

I just want to see what some of the other races look like, particularly Night Elves and Orcs.

Do you think they'll be touching the BC races at all?

I'd like them to at least touch the 2 BC zones that don't have flying in them (is it more than 2 zones... I tend to think of azuremyst and bloodmyst as one zone) as that's annoying not being able to fly in areas despite paying for all this flight related stuff.

I hope they use the Thrall model for the MoP orcs.

Orcs have ridiculously broad shoulders compared to their height at the moment. I don't think the orc model currently in the game was supposed to be the real model. Look at the orc in the Vanilla trailer.

I hope they update the female Night Elf run animation to something more similar to the trailer. Current female Night Elf clap and run animations are way too... girly.

I've not been drunk at all this week. Hoping I can make up for it tomorrow night.

Teaching kids while drunk sort of puts a damper on your career.

Teach at a tiny school in Wisconsin. I got the feeling it was kind of expected going through high school.
