What feature would you like to see Blizzard adopt?Follow

To combine a bunch of ideas:

A three-man instance, tuned for after you get at least enough role-defining skills to function recognizably as a tank, healer, and dps - let's say level 24 or so. It's set up like Flame Leviathan in a way, if you talk to one NPC the instance runs in easy mode, if you talk to the other, it's hard mode with better loot - hell, make it purple (which matters on gear at that item level). In easy mode, the NPC comes along with you and gives tips on how the trinity of roles functions in an instance - it's basically a tutorial mission. At the end of the tutorial, you get an account-bound achievement which allows the hard mode NPC to be unlocked. The hard mode NPC will only be open for conversation if all three people have the achievement.

The kicker - killing the final boss on a particular toon is also the attunement for that toon entering the LFD channel proper for real five-man dungeons. So newbies get at least some introduction to what's going on before being thrown into SFK or Gnomer. And veterans get extra loot.

I still remember the days where I would explore the World, come across new friends on my travels and feel as though I was 'earning' my gear. I played from the beginning, and there was nothing more fun than starting a small scale fight at Crossroads or Tarren Mill, that escalated into a full on war where players from 50-60 could fight without bias towards the max levels. The World of Warcraft is no longer, with the features that came into play such as the new LFG system and countless additions to Battlegrounds, there is just no reason to move from a City. I agree that these features are great for leveling up and collecting easy gear, but surely that isn't what the game is about? It used to be about the rewards, slaying a foe during a quest who attempted to gank you whilst attacking an ogre in alterac, the fact that you have finally reached level 60 and could actually begin to play the end game... I'm not a hater of new content, but I am a hater of losing old gameplay which a lot of old players will agree.

Restricting the use of Pug LFG systems, and increasing the difficulty of gear rewards will force players to interact and make friends. I look forward to Guild Wards 2. World of Warcraft is no more...

I want the ability to buy a stack of something at a time without having to select 20 each time. Like shift+right click in EQ or at the very least if if type in 200, I wish it would sell me ten stacks of 20 or whatever the case may be.

That'd be nice for events like the pilgrim one where you are buying multiple stacks of ingredients (I was at least to get my cooking from 1-430) kept miscounting my clicks for purchases and wound up with extra junk I didn't need.
#59 Nov 22 2011 at 9:14 PM Rating: Decent
I'd buy that for a dollar... I also personally feel that the stack sizes should not be able to go lower than 20... I don't like having to have 20 items in 4 stacks of 5... that is a waste of my space, especially in regards to my tradeskill stuff... I also agree with Xinaskin on their suggestion...

how the heck are you buying items that they aren't stacking? If you're clicking and dragging from the vendor to your bags that may be why you get multiple small stacks. If I.. right click? on the item I want to buy right clicking twice buys it twice and stacks it if the item is stackable... right clicking 4 times stacks it in 20 though sometimes with items coming from mining you'll get a stack of 18 in your bags and loot 3 it never seems to be consistent with completing the stack to 20 and starting a new stack with 1, I do see 18 in one stack and 3 in a new stack more often than I like.

Stack height is item dependent. Iron Buckles for example only stack to 5. I don't think the comment was being applied to vendor bought stuff but was a vent of tangential spleen.

Didn't think of those other items that stack only to 5, iron buckles, sharp claws and the like, yeah I've got them in my bank... one good thing with the current event, I can finally go ditch all the cooking mats I've been sitting on and never getting around to using, just need to keep the 430+ stuff.

How did you manage to get your cooking to 430? I cooked turkeys on my DK and the recipe went gray at like 360ish and I didn't see another recipe after that.

There was a brilliant thread on the official forums yesterday with an idea on how to get a larger backpack. It required being exalted with all alliance/horde factions then having King Lantern Jaw or Warchief Temper Tantrum sending you on a gloriously long quest like the ones we used to get back at level 60.

It was such a good idea it didn't even get any trolls in a ten page thread on the official forums.

I happened to have extra turkeys and knew I was going to the dailies more than one day, cooking turkeys even beyond it going grey still gave skill ups all the way to 430. Which should put you to early cata recipes to finish cooking off / in the realm of possibility of finishing cooking via the dailies by Januaryish depending how often the +2 cooking skill one comes up.

My guess is that this is an unannounced change introduced via hot-fix to keep the holiday relevant during Cata. Besides giving skill points to 430ish,, the turkey recipe also gives double skill-ups for a long time, easily through 400 skill.

Yeah. Not sure if it's an unmentioned fix, or just a bug, but even though turkeys go grey at 355, once you pass that you start getting double skill ups for a while before it tops out again at 425 or so.

I'm going to have to do some turkey hunting on my DK tonight to get up to the 425 range.

Now the only problem is do I level cooking to 425 range on all of my characters or just focus on the DK and send all the Cata stuff to her?

To be able to get off or change your flight destination when taking a "taxi" (without logging out for the cheap and easy way).

After playing SW: KOR the last few days, I concur with the AoE looting. I also love the way they do heartstones. Instead of only being bound to one place, you click on a portal stand at each place, and whenever you want to heart you can port to any place you've previously discovered. It's freaking awesome.

That's not entirely true. In ToR, your beacon will only take you somewhere on the world you're on that you're already discovered. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than being able to set your hearth to, say, the fleet, and being able to go back to it immediately from anywhere in the galaxy. From what I've seen, a world has about as much questing as a WoW zone, and covers a 6-10 level range.

The last time I played a Star Wars MMO, you had to WALK, or DRIVE on your SPEEDER, all the way to the nearest shuttle hangar. If you wanted to leave the planet, you had to take a shuttle to the starport and then a ship off the planet.

Kids these days, with their hearthstones and hippity hop music.

Oh yeah, it's not like that at all now. There's flight paths too! I wasn't aware of the planet restriction, as my highest level character is only 12. That makes sense though, and I still think its better than WoW's hearth system.

It's very neat. But I didn't notice AE looting. Much longer range looting but I still had to do each corpse. Or did I miss a setting?
