I have a priest at 85. A few months ago I did the quest chain to open the Firelands dailies. Go save Thrall, travel the world etc. I then did dailies on and off for a few weeks and had around 100 marks of the world tree. At the same time I was levelling a Rogue and my priest lay mostly dormant. Probably the last time I did any dailies was about 2 months ago.
I have now joined a guild were my priest is wanted for raiding so today I dust her off and go to do some more Firelands dailies. As I go to portal I spot there is a new quest. I take it (without looking, cos I roll like that) and go into Hyjal. When I get there I realise it is the starting quest for Firelands dailies. Upon inspection the whole thing has been reset. I am back to the stupid long quest chain and have lost not only my 100 marks but also the gear I bought from the first vendor you unlock.
Has anyone else had anything else like this? I have raised a GM ticket but the time is about 13 hours *sigh*

Did you do a faction change? That's the only thing I can think of. Your already purchased gear shouldn't have disappeared though, that's weird.
No I haven't touched the character, she has always been Horde/BE. I am looking to do a straight realm transfer but have not done it yet. It is as if I just got sent back to 6 months ago.
I wonder if you were hacked and during a period when you were inactive someone noticed you dancing on a mailbox shouting RMT slogans. Maybe the Firelands stuff got lost when you were reset? Remember, Belkira recently caught a hacker deleting evidence of their activity.
Probably the best thing to do would be to contact a GM or customer service rep who could try to track down what happened. Be safe, check into it.

Highly unlikely I was hacked but I will ask the GM about that when my ticket comes up. I have been active on other characters and other realms fairly frequently for last few months and my sub has been active the whole time. No other characters seem to be effected in any way. I have never had any emails from Blizz suggesting I have been participating in inappropriate behaviour. I also have an authenticator on my account.
