Yet another weekend passes us by, the days get shorter and colder and the holidays fast approach.

I mnaged to get my rogue Zandalari eligible, although I didn't run one yet. I also managed to finish the "Hallowed Be Thy Name" achievement.

On the real life side, my Saints forgot to get off the plane in St Louis. Hopefully they'll play better next Sunday.

How did you guys do on your weekend goals?

WOW: The Draenei DK wasn't really meant to be a main, so there have been gaps in her gearing. Things just needed killing this weekend, so I hit the reputation grinds and random instances hard. Lots of things dead, almost all her blue gear upgraded to purple ... success.

RL: Thanks for the good wishes Pigtails. TiC (this is China), there is no telling how the story will turn out. The horrible cold I have right now makes it easier to avoid over thinking things. She did notice that today was a holiday, so she had dinner with me and we had a good time. Life gets a bit strange over here.

Another busy weekend coming up, just like last week where I didn't have time to post. Spouse out to work event until late and I'll head out about 10pm to go pick her up. Tomorrow, relatives coming down for weekend and will be there for supper. Sunday will probably be friends over for breakfast. Supposed to be some sun this weekend, so hopefully we can get out for a walk on Sunday afternoon.
Friday night as noted, relatives came throughout Saturday afternoon and a few stayed over until Sunday. No friends over, so just vegged in front of TV for the evening and finished up Dexter Season 5.

WoW:
Haven't had much time to do any of the Hallowed Eve's quests on Alli toons, but maybe this weekend I might try to get a few of my lower level Horde toons through some of these quests.
Took my level 48 tauren druid through the candy buckets of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms for those two achievements, and a few more in Northrend which gave me just enough tricky treats to pick up a Feline Familiar. She also gained four levels to 52. Nice!

WoW: Didn't post goals, but I swear I had some. Was sick at the tail end of last week, which sucked. The upside was more WoW time.

-Warrior hit 85 and finished Uldum and Vash'jir
-Shaman hit 66 and is a couple points away from having tailoring ready for NR.
-Baby Rogue hit 25. Yes I started another one, but I'll finish this one I swear! Smiley: glare

RL: Mostly involved me being worthless and sleeping, so not a fun weekend from that perspective.

I'd laugh, but my Seahawks are 2-5 now. So I'll just be quietly sympathetic.

WoW: dropped mining on my druid and began powerleveling LW (205 atm). Just tired of people not being on who can help or who want to run things, so a change of scenery may be due.

RL: Saw the play I wanted to, hung out with family, and just read some books. It's nice to have a reasonably "Quiet" weekend with the wife and kids.

You people and your football. I have no idea how my school's football team is doing, nor do I really care. =x

WoW: Raid on Saturday went mostly smooth. We got heroic Shannox down with little problem (he's not really any harder than on normal from what I can tell, other than face rage is more tricky to manage), and spent about an hour working on heroic Domo. Couldn't get him down so we moved on to Rag and spent 45 minutes making stupid mistakes, so we didn't get him down either which is kind of embarrassing. The only thing I ****** up was a miss on levitate while disarming traps. They had to rez me, and then one of the tanks died afterwards, so if I hadn't needed the rez earlier, we might have been able to get a kill. Oh well. Had fun, and I got myself some heroic booties, so I'm mostly content.

RL: Really didn't get much down in the way of homework. I got the basics of what I needed down, but that only took about two hours. I got distracted by the internet, and then watching episodes of Drop Dead Diva, and I kept falling asleep while trying to do my homework. However, I had a great epiphany from watching the show, and I'm feeling super committed to treating myself better and not letting people walk all over me. I deserve better damn it.

So oddly enough I came downstairs after the weekend to do laundry and my desktop computer is powered up ready to go.... so I am getting ONE more shot on my main for the horseman's mount! Yay for missing a week of attempts.

RL seeing some job postings of interest, making use of the functioning desktop to download a TON of podcasts for entertainment at a camp job.

Not much wow - did run HH as planned.

Vacation cut short. We got a phone call from the guy who came over to check on our cats and apparently the back door hadn't been shut tightly so the cats got out. It doesn't appear that anyone had gone into the house but we were so worried about the cats, we just packed up and left for home Sunday morning and arrived here Monday afternoon. One cat is present and the other is missing so we're still worrying. She's such a skittish cat we're not sure she will come even if she hears us calling. :/

So I killed the Headless Horseman every day on 5 characters, 3 of whom can wear plate. I got the helmet to drop 4 times... twice on my shaman and twice on my dr00d. Go go RNG. Smiley: oyvey

I feel your pain Astarin. I've gotten the helm on both my priest and my druid now. I really wish they'd make the damn thing BoA.

WoW: Forgot to do Hallow's End stuff for my title finally. Time to hurry that up. Fortunately I just need the buckets and a goblin to shove in a pumpkin.

RL: Started American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Within the first 30 pages, The Queen of Sheba ate a man through her ******. Om nom nom.

I like this book.

Mage: I think it's high time I man up and run a troll heroic. Even if I go arcane to do it.
Warrior: I'll be happy if I ding 73(4 bubbles to go, iirc).

Other Stuff: Gonna go check out the work that's been done on my parents' new house. Went two weeks ago, all they had was foundation of some base plumbing. I hear walls, windows, doors and roof are all up now. Also gonna spend some time playing Dark Souls and Mount & Blade: Warband.
I accomplished all of nothing on my WoW Goals, thanks to Mount & Blade. That game is pretty damn addictive.

I had a bit of a curious weekend.

I did a few instances with my daughter.

Then she persuaded me that the headless horseman fight was so short that nobody was going to kick me for being undergeared or my pathetic dps.

So I queued up and did it. Initially with my hunter as I felt he had the most chance of not being an embarrassment. It went ok and he got a nice upgrade.

So I took another 6 85s through it (all DPS - I left out the tanks as I didn't dare attempt to tank it). Results varied enormously.

They are all around the 320 iLvl mark having dinged 85 and some of them finished the quest sequence in TH. Pretty much all blue from quest rewards and crafted gear. Not fully enchanted/ gemmed since their gear is going to change - hopefully to something with gem slots Smiley: smile

What I got out of it in terms of peak dps was:-
BM Hunter 10k
Arms Warrior 8k
Frost DK 8k
Enhancement Shaman 7k
Combat Rogue 6.5k
Demonology Warlock 4.5k

All pretty horrible from what I read here, but particularly upset by the poor showing of my warlock. There didn't seem much I could do to improve. Dots were up, Meta was used as was Demonic Empowerment. Possible reasons are lack of haste - those nukes take forever - or lack of spellpower.

So a bit of a mixed experience. But at least a pointer to what needs to get better. Probably the next step is to grind some rep for upgrades.

Cobra, if you're in all blues @ 320 ilvl, I personally think that 8k is perfectly respectable. I really wouldn't worry about it too much. My DK started out 85 at with 11k dps on bosses, but she also had two purples waiting for her when she dinged.

What was really sad, was the amount of times I did HH this year, and did 50% of the dps all by myself. One of those times, I had queued up my druid in balance spec and only healed about 20% of the time. Now that is sad.

I tanked the HH on my 84 pally in the process of getting him to 85 at the beginning of the event. There were only one or two cases of DPS doing over 20k DPS and I couldn't keep the Horseman on me outside of taunting on CD, but it went just fine.

Good weekend, actually, for WOW anyway. Wanted to get two levels, got eight. Kind of weekend where if I was a kid i'd have been ordered to play outside, but since I'm not, I didn't.
