True, the female Draenei are pretty... mesmerizing.

I personally just like their voices. They do not **** me off like the Worgen or Goblins. I find those two races to be irritating as all get out.

This is just another instance of a lot of people taking the game and what others say about the game WAY too seriously.

On a side note... when the lead singer of Cannibal Corpse was on stage and "singing"... my 4 year old boy started laughing at him. I didn't know what to say so I just looked at my kid and said, "Was that a bear?". He looked at me for a second and told me it was... heh.

My playing Horde was a religious conversion. A Tolkien devotee, I love elves and rangers, so a Night Elf hunter made sense - until I met the Blood Elves' ladies. Hard as it is to believe, I underwent an instantaneous conversion of my DNA. Scientifically impossible, I know, but there it is.

In my mind, I suspect it can be translated easily.

Night Elves > Blood Elves

Tolkien agrees.

I think the female goblins are adorable. Male goblins are annoying.

Blood Elves and goblins made me like Horde a lot less. And now pandas? WTF? Horde used to be the awesome deadly-looking faction. Now they are geting more Disney, like the Alliance.

There was also an incident in which a young woman wearing a night elf T-shirt was physically attacked by two Horde-loving players, who sustained a non-threatening neck injury at Blizzcon.

Not sure of the full details, and I'm not saying that Blizz is at fault here, but that is part of what has been fanning the Anti Horde Favoritism bonfire.

That, and the apparent destruction of Theramore isn't helping either. A lot of Alliance players are sick of it.

Me, I don't really care (I play both Horde and Alliance characters), but I wish people would leave Horde vs Alliance in-game where it belongs and stop acting like stupid idiots. When you log out of the game, Real Life ensues. I think they should remember that. Nobody IRL cares about Horde vs Alliance, and to hold actual dislike for human beings IRL depending on what pixellated characters they control is all colors of stupid.

It is a freaking GAME and they need to grow the hell up.

Do they know if the attack was actually based on faction though? Did they tell her: "Alliance (or Nightelves) sucks, now we are going to kick your butt", or something similiar backed up by witnesses? Obviously, if the attack is true, it shouldn't have happened either way and I certainly don't condone it (unless there is more to story and it involves self defense), but it could have been coincidence with the ally liking victim and the horde liking attackers.

It's kind of like the hate crime thing. Yes, a lot of the attacks are hate crimes, but a lot of them are not as well, but they are still looked at as hate crimes. There's a line that has to be figured out and drawn.

As for Theramore, there is more to the story, remember who lives there. There will be something big that no one knows about and I'm willing to bet it'll favor the Alliance.

I do not remember what exactly I read of the attack, the person who reported it on the o-boards very much emphasized that it was because she was wearing an Alliance t-shirt, and both of the ones who attacked her were wearing Horde ones. Oh yes, something else I remember: the girl was a foreigner (they didn't say from where) that was visiting the US to attend BlizzCon.

Whether or not it was really a hate crime, is unknown to me, and yes, that was unwarranted even if it wasn't a hate crime. Blizz was quick to lock the first thread, and I'd imagine they deleted the others discussing it too, so I don't have any links to provide.

I dunno about anybody else, but I love the Gilnean Human female voices, the ones with the thick accent. But yes, I also love Draenei Girls' voices too.

Goblins? I think they are hilarious. Especially the Bilgewater (Horde) goblins. Mom feels like punching the screen, but I have to at least chuckle each time that one voice says "Mooooove it!" It is funny and it very much fits with the Horde goblins. They love money, but they've also developed a mean streak especially after joining the Horde, while the Steamwheedle goblins remain Neutral and more Charismatic.

Also, the Bilgewater Female goblins (like Auctioneer Kuvi in Orgrimmar) have downright sexy voices. The "I got what ya need!" (as well as "The pleasure was all mine") almost sounds like it could be taken an entirely different way.....

Worgen Female? I don't mind it.

I love the female goblins. There's something hilarious and sensual about them but also something awkward about listening to them. I get the idea that they would stand there in front of me, talking about "needing it so badly" or "wanting more" and loving it when they "see it get bigger". Then you get all excited and expect something sexual with her to follow the conversation ... But it turns out she's talking about looking at her bank account. And I can imagine that, if you mentioned the misinterpretation to her and what you were hoping for, she'd say something like, "sex? That's boring! How can you be turned on by just that?"

So then you have to settle for a troll prostitute, making sure she keeps a bag over her face. Smiley: glare

You know, I think we should all applaud Corpsegrinder for his excellent trolling skills.
As for the alleged hate crimes between factions, it's a con filled with a lot of people who are a bit too fanatical about WoW, I'm not surprised that there's a bunch of genuine crazies in there who don't get the difference between world PvP and real world PvP.
