First of all, im posting this here because the DK forum seems pretty much dead. And i am really hoping someone could give me some feedback on my question. If i am not supposed to post DK related questions here, i apologise.

I will get straight down to business. My dk is using http://www.wowhead.com/item=59521 and http://www.wowhead.com/item=69639 as his dps weapons. Tonight i got my hands on 2 x http://www.wowhead.com/item=71782 though. Noone wanted them, so i thought i could pick them up. Have not had time to test them out yet, had people saying that "DK`s dont need agility" etc, which im fully aware of. I will be losing close to 300 str, but they do have much higher dps though, and i am thinking they might be better dps wise than the ones im currently using?

What do you think? Would i be the "laughing stock" of the server for using these? (Those bloody Obsidium cleavers wont ever drop for me btw, and there is no way im paying 35k for one either..)

Thank you for reading and i appreciate it if you take the time to give me your opinion.;)

The stat loss of going with an Agility weapon is not worth it. Nearly 300 Strength loss to a stat that does practically nothing for you. We already forge crit to mastery or haste.

And yes, the DK forum is very, very quiet =(

It's -145 Str for +90 weapon DPS on the MH, and +115 off-hand DPS for -137 Str. I would find a sim program (like Rawr) and put all your stats in to know for sure, but I think that much of a bump in weapon damage will more than make up for the loss in Strength.

Two things. 1) I would probably stick with the +str weapons but I would take Astarin's advice and sim it to make sure. 2) The shaman in me is drooling at those maces. I kan haz?

The bad news is that even if the math works out in favor of those maces, somebody is going to jump on "DKs don't use AGI" and give you a hard time.

Well, i just had to try these out before i went to work this morning..;)

I only had time for a short session, but with the old weapons i was pulling about 12-13k dps on dummy. With the new maces i was up to about 16k (!?!?). It could be totally random though, that i was extremely lucky with KM procs etc, but i dont know. Need to do some more testing i guess.

Got to admit tho, im not completely comfortable with my "rotation". Usually start out with outbreak, and then i normally just use the ability which is "highlited". Dont tend to wait for Oblit when KM is up, and i sometimes use Howling Blast, even is Rime is not up. Might be doing it totally wrong?

Anyways, as far as "simming" it, i tried to download Rawr (?) once, and to be honest i just could not figure out how it worked. Might head over to EJ forums and ask nicely if one of them could "sim" it for me..;)

Cheers

I don't know how good the site actually is, but a site I've been seeing on the Oboards a lot(Askmrrobot) seems to suggest that the maces beat out the 353 but not the 359. It's also suggesting Fallen Crusader on both weapons, and I'm not sure how much sense that makes, since I only tank on the DK.

I can't rawr at work, and I didn't do much beyond pop in a blank DK specced DW frost.

Any serious theory-crafter ignores target dummy tests due to the limited sample size. The less polite ones will be rather rude about it. EJ mods will infract you and anyone that tries to answer your question. Some of the class forums have an "Ask a stupid question" thread, but the DK forum isn't one of them. Post an armory link and one of us can probably plug all your relevant numbers into a spreadsheet and get a decent answer.

Right, i wont head over to the EJ forums then, thats for sure.. Thanks for "warning me" ;)

My cig has armory link to my DK, but it is showing my tanking gear at the moment. I will log out in my dps gear after work.

I am not an expert, but i am pretty sure that Razorsize is recommended on MH, and FC on off-hand. ;) Or vice versa.

I plugged all your info into Rawr, minus your current reforges (dont see reforges on WoW Heroes & armory had tank set) so I used Rawr's "optimized" reforges as your "assumed" reforges.

In a nutshell here's a few things Rawr showed:

-Rawr didnt allow FC/Razorice on both weapons. As I've not dual wielded on my DK, I'm presuming this is the case ingame.
-Rawr showed the same values for Fallen Crusader MH/Razorice OH vs the opposite setup.
-With the 2 maces, it shows a loss of almost 600 AP, but a gain of ~2.6% crit.

Net result is that both hands are an upgrade (per Rawr).
