I'm new to WoW and a friend of mine and I did the recruit a friend thing. I downloaded the trial of the game, upgraded fully and when I launch the game it says 1. Setup 2. Available 3. Playable. It's on step 2 right now with 3.2 GB left to go, but I can login and play. I just have no sound. Is that because not all the files are downloaded yet, or is my issue something else?
All the settings in game seem correct, and I have no sound issues outside of WoW. I was just curious if the missing files are the cause or not.

It's still not working, I'm confused why not. Has anyone else had some seemingly random issues with their WoW sound before?
If it has fully downloaded then I would try the repair tool. Also if you have seperate speakers did the connection to them come loose? While we are at it do you have your volume on your computer up or is the computer muted? I can't tell you how many times I have made mistakes that seemed complicated at first and it turns out was something super simple.
Another thing I when you are in game go to your sound options and make sure one of the sound slide bars didn't get turned down, other than that I'm at a loss.
