I wasn't really upset, I just thought it was ironic. Apparently we don't share the same laughs towards irony.

I didn't mean to *****, although re-reading I can see how it came off that way. I wasn't aiming to offend anyone either; but my post did get rated up to 'Excellent' and then did get bombed straight to default once the people came in talking about a ZAM guild and completely disregarding the purpose of the post. Coincidence? Possibly.

I wanted to say something, just because I do think that was a tad rude, and I'm also doing my best to stay involved in the thread. I didn't want to just come back to Zam, drop a thread about a guild (which I'm sure is annoying to you all) and leave without saying a word, so I'm trying to stay involved. It's not easy when a thread goes like this though, lol.

I apologize if I was out of line, the last thing I want to do is 'make a bad impression of my guild'. These guys deserve better than that.

Most threads in this forum get derailed and rerailed a couple of times during their lifespan. It's not like on the O-boards where threads get derailed if they suck, we just derail everything. I guess we enjoy it.

That's why we've got a 200-page derail thread in the Druid forum. Smiley: nod

I pushed the green arrow once for you. lolkarma

I don't quite get this swifty thing; hadn't heard of the guy till that thingy a couple of months ago. But he does youtube and makes videos people like or something?

Anyway good luck with the recruitment.

P.S. What do you guys actually do in guild? Ya know PvP, raid, RP, get drunk, etc. All I got from the first post was you all like youtube a bunch. Smiley: wink

You're a scholar again. You're welcome. Smiley: tongue People are weird, there's no telling why you got rated down for the thread. Probably because you don't have boobs. Or do you?

Our first guild event is tonight actually! I'm trying hard to come up with ideas everyone can participate in. I hate to keep dropping my Youtube channel, but this video explains it well:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoFaQUAPeA4

I'm hosting/sponsoring a level one race for these guys, lol. In short we're all going to make level 1s at a designated time, of the same character race, and then phsyically race to a finish line 3-4 zones a way. In order to get there first people are going to have to find ways to cut corners without dying to mobs, so it should be exciting, lol. Winner will take home a couple hundred (if not thousand+) gold. For the new people just rolling there, I'm hoping that's a decent way to get them started, and get them to know everyone.

Right now we have no raid groups up, but we've got some 85s running around doing 5mans and bgs/rbgs/arena together. We're still a little lacking in 85s in our roster, but I'm sure a 10man raid group will be up and running in a couple weeks or so. I'm wanting to make it so the guild has things available for everyone to do and have fun with, and there's some dynamite players with tons of experience (heroic firelands, 2400+ arena teams) joining up, so they'll be incredibly valuable in making sure everyone can actually progress as well.

Right now it's more of a hangout than anything though.

Working as hard as I can to get things popping though. Hopefully things continue to pick up. ;)

---

Also, Swifty is just a guy who's been around forever on Youtube. He made Warrior tricks videos back in classic. And over time has gained more and more popularity, until he eventually was sponsored by Razer (the gaming equipment company) and things really blew up. His videos now are super high quality and entertaining, so he's pretty big. He does tutorials/pvp videos/events/real life videos, all sorts of stuff. ^^

---

Oh and, thanks for the lolkarma. :) I really didn't mean to ***** about it, but it did rile be just a bit to see it Defaulted, because if I remember right there's anti-default filters to where people wouldn't see the post, and that would've made me sad. :(

---

Edit: God damn my lack of boobs...

FIFY.

If it helps at all I rated you up to keep you at least at decent. You have posted here before, not to mention when brought to light you manned up about it and didn't get all pissy about it. Good luck finding people. Smiley: smile

I get rating bombed for talking about a guild other than a ZAM guild, get hijacked by the same people talking about a ZAM guild, and none of you realize, (or even remember) the first ZAM WoW guild there ever was. Ironic, to say the least. None of you were even around at that point, lol.

Some of us were here before WoW was even released, myself included. Some things just aren't worth remembering, like your mom's cheap earrings still on my nightstand.

I doubt the karma bombing was a result of the ZAM guild discussion. The life of your karma can be a rollercoaster. I've had posts quickly down rated to default, only to find them a few days later at excellent (and vice versa). It just depends on who views your post when.

The biggest mistake you can make with your karma is mentioning it. The moment you start complaining about it will be the moment people take the time to down rate you.

Most threads here get derailed and derailed often. This place doesn't follow the normal forum etiquette--we have our own etiquette. Honestly, if they are taking the time to derail it take it as a compliment. They are bumping your post and bringing attention to it. Its usually not mean-spirited. Just roll with it.

The biggest mistake isn't mentioning it. The biggest mistake is actually caring. Be yourself, let the chips fall where they will. People will rate up and down for whatever reason, justified or not. Once you don't care you can speak your mind and actually stand up for something. It's just a number, which we can't see anymore anyways. It's not who you are unless you let it be.

What Mental said. Take me for example. Clearly Sage or Guru material, but the man is keeping me down.

Wait, I'm doing this wrong, aren't I?

The Lunatics, we were on Shadowcouncil, Alliance side. The drama that shall not be named was pretty childish and awesome. That was before Burning Crusade came out though, it is no more.

Yeah, I really didn't mean to complain. I was over stressed from over working trying to get more people in my guild that day, and it just got at me when I got so low it was defaulted and I thought possibly people wouldn't see the post all together. I try and put a lot of time in to everything I'm doing with this guild, and make sure no time is wasted. So it was an /eyetwitch moment to see that for a little bit, lol.

Big thanks to you all for making it better though. You helped a lot, thanks. ;)

Been editing all day for the video of the event we did last night. I think it turned out pretty epic. If anybody was wondering what kinds of things we are doing in this guild until we get our raid groups / rbg groups going... This is a good example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a738QVXCqbI&feature=channel_video_title

Hopefully somebody gets some lols. ;)

For future reference, posts don't go hidden until they reach sub-default. And that's only if people have that option checked (although it is there by default, no pun intended). I like to keep my filter at no-rating because sometimes sub-default threads are lulzy.

This brings up a good point, why haven't we created a Zam Superguild yet.

On topic: Thanks for the offer Ill keep it in mind with RAF if i can find someone to do it with me, but ive leveled to many toons to want to do it slow again, I keep getting stuck at 60 or 70.

Aposematic was a ZAM guild for the EU servers for a while. Other than that, I think most people are content with the guild they're already in.

Could you imagine sharing a guild with Bodi, Mental, AND Theo? 0.o

I can't speak for Bod and Mental, but I've been in a guild with Theo and it really isn't as bad as people may imagine. =P

One of them probably wouldn't be too bad, but all three? That's what scares me lol.

No, you were being whiny *****, they're an easy (albeit slightly confusing) bossfight.
Also, pugging people sucks but **** like that happens.
