Well, Worgans are essentially just really hairy Italians Humans. Wouldn't really expect much different.

For all that it may not seem snazzy, horses have been part of the Worgen story since the starting zones. It would be rather odd for the racial mount to be something else; you rode horses during quests, horses drew the coaches and you rescued horses as you prepared to flee (don't say flee too loudly in front of Worgen though).

Let's just be happy they didn't make it yet another form of drake.

A thousand times this.

But there's still going to be people bemoaning the lack of a carriage.

I hope this doesn't mean they're taking away my Plainstriding Running Wild. I will be sorely disappoint.

They shouldn't druids still have travel form and can mount, so?

I doubt they will. Blizzard very rarely takes stuff like that away from players. They're more likely to just give more.

If I recall, speculation is that this is more to balance out the goblin trike in terms of mounts for the achievement. Although Running Wild serves as a 'mount' for Worgen, it isn't one that other Alliance players can obtain.

The pictures show a plain brown horse and a plain black one. These are colors already available so I'm hoping maybe those are placeholders for new unique colors (or previously unavailable colors) that the Worgens will get? I don't really play Alliance but right now my Worgen Warlock is very happy to have her class mount because I can't stand the 'running wild' animation. (They look like hopping frogs to me.)

Does anyone else just not care? I mean I feel like this is such a meh addition. I could care less if they gave them mounts. By the time it really matters (level 40) I have always been able to get mounts elsewhere.

I am looking for Blizzard to do something that makes the game feel different enough for me to take notice. Maybe I am just being a whiner... whatever...

Blizzard's done a follow up.

The intention wasn't really to hype this up, so much as to simply inform and reduce confusion. Our thought was, rather than let these be introduced without any context via data-mining, that it seemed like a better idea to introduce them ourselves with a bit of context.

At least the horses have a fancy new skin. They look much spiffier than the horses the humans have.

My worgen being a warlock, I don't really care a whole lot. However, it would have been a good opportunity to add something cool to the game if their whole intent is just to add some mounts for the achievement stuff.

A donkey mount would have been quite awesome. Or even go the other extreme to accomodate the worgen's bigger size and add some huge draft horses rather than just reusing the old model.

Not entirely surprise so much as mild amusement. And the 186 page is entertaining. Smiley: mad

Sometimes.

Wasn't that the whole point of adding new races in the first place? Alliance have furries now and horde have midgets?

I was hoping they'd just add running wild animations to the other alliance races. Just imagine gnomes... rabid hamsters on red bull.
