Not really, no, but I guess it depends on what you use the computer for. If I'm gaming then one monitor is all I need. I can't watch movies while playing video games, because I'd only be able to focus on one. As for internet browsing and whatever you do when you're not playing video games, Alt-Tab works just fine.
Specifically for gaming, I use the second monitor to hold my out of game chat windows, vent, skype etc. These are all things that I like to be able to glance over and check without actually losing focus in the game.

I tried playing many games on my 55" Sony led tv but unless it's a first person shooting game and it's design for big screen I hate playing most PC games on it. It feels weird and gives me a headache so I usually just stick to my 24" monitor :D

i dont always like playing on a big screen. but i do like having a second screen with a movie or tv show running.
