Warning! Surprisingly good looking hacker email! Follow

#1 Aug 10 2011 at 2:18 PM Rating: Good
Wow, give those Chinese gold farmers credit. This was the most believable hacking attempt email I have gotten. They really tried hard on this one, to the point were they even included a believable Account Administration Team background in the message. From the looks of it they copied an exact blizzard message too, getting rid of that obvious grammar problem most of these have. Unfortunately for them, the one part they did write themselves, had terrible grammar, as the bold section shows.

Greetings!

Just a little PSA for those out there, since this one did make me do a double take at first, and if a new player gets it, I could see this working really easily.

I got this one the other day as well.

I had to read it twice and check the links. It is most definiately a good one.

Beware! Gold farmers are getting smarter.

It does look good, other than the sentence you bolded. Common sense though people. When has Blizzard ever gave away anything to a few random people? The only time they give us anything for free, they give it to everybody, like the mini pets on the 4th and 5th anniversaries.

Yeah, and the fact that I haven't been subbed since Winter tends to be a pretty quick clue that these are hackers, but this certainly was well done.
