The latest youtube spam reminded me I'd changed things up a little. I was bored so thought I'd share. It's still the impossibly busy collection of random addons, but it's coming along slowly.

Pitbull, Dominoes, Quartz, gChat, Grid, Sexymap, and OmniCC are what you can see. WIM, simplemarker, Omen, and recount are hidden. I need to get rid of the duplicate buff bars. Grid looks like it does because I rarely bother to lock it down. Switching between alts, tanking to healing to PvP, soloing, etc. tends to make me want to rearrange things, and it's just been easier to drag stuff instead of making new sub-profiles and what not. Plus the Mrs seems to like it on the right side on the monitor, and I like it on the left. Go figure... Smiley: rolleyes

Also, one of the previous threads convinced me to redo my key-bindings, and I've been happier with it. ~1234RFCXZ get bound with Alt and Shift modifiers now. F1-F4 are for important CDs I don't want to accidentally fat-finger. I got grumpy a while back when I blew Lay-on-Hands trying to cleanse myself... Smiley: disappointed

Also, a reminder to loot all your kills. I took these pics as I was farming some thorium. I killed an annoying imp, then I has epic!

Screenshot

So I showed you mine, can you show me yours? Smiley: smile

Edit: Yes I play on a very small monitor...

That's interesting. I've never seen someone put their target unit frames in the upper center like that. Do you pvp with them there? Seems like they might get in the way when trying to see what's going on in a BG or Arena at a distance. Overall I like it, mostly just simple and clean. What do WIM and simplemarker do?

Not breakin' balls here, just curious:
- HoJ isn't keybound?
- Do you use mouse-up and mouse-down keybinds? I can't tell in the screenie.

Oh and grats on your purple!

I haven't had problems seeing off into the distance at least; the boxes are high enough they're usually in the sky. The camera angle is a little screwy in the first picture due to the mountains being right there though, and I suppose the 2nd is underwater, which doesn't help either...

WIM - WoW Instant Messanger (puts whispers from a person into their own chatbox similar to most IM programs)
Simplemarker - A small toolbar to quickly mark 'skull' 'X' etc, only shows up when you can mark in a group.

HoJ is keybound to '~' it's just on the right side of the box.
I don't use mouse-up and mouse-down keybinds. No particular reason.

I'm always looking to improve things though. What do you do? Smiley: smile

I'm just wondering why your resolution is so low? Or did you just make your text huge?

Anywhoot - some of your ideas you have going are not so far off from my own.

AynLoD, despite the fact that I hardly EVER PVP anymore, my GUI centers around a PVP environment.

Not visible is to the right a Focus bar with @focus spells that populate depending on friend/foe. The entire bar disappears when there is no focus.

Top left is Target, top right is ToT. The big open gray space underneath is their cast bars.

Everything that I can effect (dispel, HoF, spellsteal, cure disease, whatever) is highlighted as is the entire box given a boarder.

Middle of the screen is my HUD from Power Auras. The Bottom Gold keeps track of Holy Power (Left, right, then center + boarder.) The top keeps track of inquisition with a timer. I have notifiers up for numerous other buffs/debuffs and CDs.

Half-bottom mid is my Melee Timer, my Cast bar at 15% opacity, then my Spell CD Timer. Bottom is my hot bars. They are all mapped and I can run with or without them. I generally leave them on because it doesn't hurt. Then comes my cast Bar again, Health and Mana.

I have a similar setup for my Mage. My priest's set up is a little bit different, but the Main Target+ToT and Cast bars are all in the same location.

The monitor is about 10 years old now, and wasn't top-of-the-line when I got it. Its resolution doesn't go any higher... Smiley: frown

Theo and Aeth inspired me to get a minimalist UI.

As you'll notice, I've removed even the game visuals from the UI so as to not slow down my computer and bombard me with needless information. I find that a black screen gives you the optimal performance, and since I learned every single move in the game and how to counter it, I haven't needed the actual game overlay.

I have a lot of redundant information on my screen. I need to get rid of the buff/debuff bar that I just moved with Dominos. I was using Elkano's BuffBars; I don't know why I don't have it up there.

I really prefer to have my raid frames up in the upper left of the screen, but I was having issues when healing on Shaman with them being so far from the action, since I like to use VuhDo to cast on raid frames. I like my UI to be pretty much the same going from character to character, so I use VuhDo on Mage, Paladin, and DK as well.

I could really condense my hotbars. The stuff directly to the left of the minimap is very rarely used via keybind. I could really move everything from the minibars over, but I do like having all those open spots to drop quest items (such as the thing to heal defenders for that Molten Front daily).

Also, I really @#%^ing love that Mage Nuggets now has a Purge window, a la the Spellsteal window.

I might just reduce the size of my hotbars, move the minimap to the upper left corner, and drop my player/target frames lower. Possibly reverse-order the raid frames so that Group 1 is on the right edge of my screen. I just have VuhDo set to always format for 25-man.
