So I did my very first Cataclysm Heroics today... yeah yeah, late-comer and all. lol.

First up, 2 on my Warrior... well 3 technically. Haven't tanked with my warrior since the end of BC/Beginning of Wrath, and I was put in Grim Batol first.. when I saw that loading screen, I was like "oh God..." but it really wasn't that bad.

First thing, healer left group because "I don't heal people in PvP gear".... I was wearing the PvP wrists and PvP shoulders because there was just nothing better. I'm not to the Armorer in Firelands yet, so no wrists. Not Exalted with Ramkahen, so no wrists from there either. I had 318 quested wrists, but the 358 PvP Wrists gave HUGE primary stat bonuses (what, some 70+ stamina?) and the Shoulders? I coulda had 325 quest shoulders from Uldum, but I hadn't done Uldum yet on him, I figured the 358s would have to do.

Anyways, we got another healer who was actually decent at their job, and I held threat on trash pulls fairly decently when we didn't have idiot DPS jumping to the wrong mobs (cat druid doing 6k). Kicked him, and the rest of the run went fine. Total wipes: 3, only 1 of which was my fault (I picked up adds on first boss, didn't know I wasn't supposed to).

Then, Deadmines... long story short, I got kicked because I waited too long to pull a boss (a mage was 80+ yards away AFK). Then Lost City, that one went fairly smoothly.

Then I went to my Paladin... Steamrolled SFK, only one wipe (end guy, didn't quite understand what they said to do as far as where to tank him, 2nd pull went just fine), and then got Deadmines on my Paladin.... steamrolled the place, except for 1 wipe where those stupid blood wizards are, and then we had an idiot DPS who didn't know how to run the robot suit during Foe Reaper... kicked him, the replacement even got us the achievement. Steamrolled the rest of it.

So yeah...

Had some fun, got nearly 400g out of those satchels (no pets/mounts, meh lol) and lots of JP, nearly 1k for both of them.

Funner is not a word. Smiley: tongue You should say "more fun."

Glad you had a mostly positive experience in your first heroics though. Sometimes you can really get unlucky with people.

Or funnier.

Funnier is an adverb form (I think) of funny, so that would change the context of what Lyr was trying to say. Unless he thought the heroic runs were humorous too, of course.

I've generally enjoyed the new stuff. It's more better. Glad you had fun!

Also, Prima donna healers are annoying.

Actually, funner/funnest aren't entirely wrong. Assuming you're okay with using fun as an adjective.

Yeah, but changing people's context is funny. The media does it all the time.

Interesting read. Although I'd say that just because a particular word (or way to use a word) is becoming more common to use in a informal setting, it doesn't mean that it is correct. Besides, funner just sounds silly.
