Step 1: Choose a high-population PvP server.
Step 2: Start a human character.
Step 3: Go to Goldshire.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit!

Just wait for the PvP to happen at Goldshire. Doubly so for any holiday that has PvP-centric achievements. This would have been good if you had tried doing this last month during Midsummer Fire Festival.

Google provides ready access to a lot of things.

I am too, I'm just old! I was a teenager when pokemon started getting popular, and I was of the opinion that it was for kids, so I never got into it. You guys are mean with excluding me just because I don't fit your definition of a nerd. Smiley: tongue

Good thing I don't need validation from people on a forum on whether or not I'm nerdy enough.

You don't need validation to be a nerd. But if you ever were a nerd you've already lost that status. Your papers have been revoked.

I never got into Pokemon cause I was already grown up when it came out, so there was no nostalgia to keep me interested. It's also probably a case of "my childhood was better than the next generation's is" syndrome. I had TMNT, Superted, Bananaman, Atari and NES games. The kids after me had ... Well, total *********

Age is no excuse, I am 29 (will be 30 in 2 weeks) and I owned Pokemon when it first came out. I remember reading about how it was big in japan and couldnt wait to try out "Pocket Monsters" I even watched the cartoon/anime for like 4 episodes to see how it was with the game.

So yes your nerd status is revoked until further notice! :P

Nerd status should really only be revoked for some lack of knowledge, since that just requires proactive interaction in certain topics. Liking/disliking something, though, is subjective. Someone can be a nerd, say, certain video games or movies. I'm just not that captivated by Pokemon really. Multiple things about it just don't grab me and, honestly, I think I've been warped by ****/hentai through the years. I can't look at Japanese animation without wondering why people are actually still clothed and not in danger. Seriously, what's with that? Smiley: tongue

lolgaxe is losing nerd cred too, that's not a Pokemon, that's a Digimon named Agumon.

Edit: Also, Blue Eyes White Dragon is Yu-Gi-Oh.

Thank you! I mean really. I'm a Harry Potter fan, I watch anime, I play RPG's and WoW, I'm an avid reader, I got made fun of constantly in middle school and quite a bit in high school too, I like Star Wars and Star Trek, etc.

Just because I have no interest in Pokemon and never have, doesn't mean I don't get to be a nerd. And so what if I didn't know the name of one of the monsters from Mario? In the second Mario game Peach threw turnips and could float with her dress, and Luigi could run fast and jump really high. In the third one, you could turn yourself into a frog, a raccoon and various other creatures, as well as light yourself on fire and throw fireballs. It's not like I never played the games, I just didn't get to play them much since I never had an NES growing up. I wanted one, but my parents wouldn't let me have one because they were afraid my grades would suffer.

And I apologize if I came off ****** last night. I was in a bit of a cranky mood. >.>

No reason to confuse Tails any more than she already is, that's just mean.

Yeah, it's all good. We just gotta poke fun at people when we get the chance. I never had a video game system growing up but I seem to have a near photographic memory for such things and can sketch out decent maps of games I played once with a few reminders. For example I could probably do the first Duke Nukem 3D level right away but would need to see a couple of screenshots to be reminded what later levels *were*. Too bad I can't choose where to apply it, it'd be useful if I could turn that power towards my education.

Yeah, deep down I knew you guys were just teasing me, but I'm very proud of being a nerd and I get a little sensitive when people tell me that because I don't like something I don't get to be a nerd. Trust me, you guys aren't the only ones who have done this. One of my RL friends told me this last week because I didn't get a Firefly reference. >.>
