I'm surprised it's taken this long for this thread to pop up.

So what changes have you guys found with the patch that weren't in the patch notes.

Flying mounts can now swim and you can mount a flying mount while underwater. I can only assume this is to makeit fair for gnomes that couldn't mount a flying mount while swimming because they are so short.

I think this has been in for a couple patches now, where you could mount a flying mount near the surface of the water to take off without having to get out of the water.

Actual changes, I got 2 Heavenly Shards from DEing a couple blues today.

That's part of the change that allows some flying mounts to be used as ground mounts.

If your guild is rank 23 (with Bountiful Bags guild perk) then that's occasionally to be expected.

Heh. I had never had it happen with shards before, and certainly not two times in a row.

My pet ghoul has been running off randomly to attack nearby mobs once we finish killing one. Normally I keep the ghoul on Defensive stance, and when we kill a mob, he'll just stand there. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's annoying and I've been keeping him on Passive stance most of the time.

That's odd, it shouldn't be doing that at all. They completely got rid of Aggressive stance, it's now called assist and it attacks the target you are attacking.

Switching to Assist didn't help last night or this morning; it acted the same as Defensive. My server just had a rolling restart around 10 minutes ago and Assist seems to be working fine now, thank God.

One change that caught people by surprise is that the obsidium blacksmith keys have now become usable only by blacksmiths. While this was probably how they were intended to be all along (like previous levels of bs keys), the obsidium ones were usable by anyone so many people would buy the keys so they could open their own lockboxes. Obviously there have been many upset people on the official forums complaining about how they spent a lot of gold on keys that were now worthless to them.

I heard about the pet stance issues as well so I was using my pet on passive last night just in case. Of course I have had pet issues from time to time even before the patch including a naughty searing totem shooting at a mob yards away that I hadn't touched at all and numerous instances where my spirit wolves would run off to attack another mob after the one I was using them on died even though they were on defensive at the time. I've learned not to trust the pet ai very much.

Happens all the time with me. Happened with 2 epics when the crystal was selling for 4k in my server. I was a happy druid.

My spirit beast did the same in ZG, suddenly went aggressive on everything while in Assist stance. Edended up putting him to passive and attacking manually.

We saw a different animation for some spells, but not else.

The dungeon journal is really cool.

I noticed a batch of new achievements that I didn't see in the patch notes. Maybe they were there and I just missed them.

Several new Cata quest achievements for the new 4.2 stuff.

New cooking and fishing achievements for the dailies in Thunder Bluff and Undercity.

But you can only do one cooking daily per day still, at least pre patch.

Yeah I knew about that. What I was saying was that gnomes have a problem with this. They are so short they are not consider to be above water enough to mount a flying mount.

I thought they made the change so gnomes could fly out of the water, but it appears to be related to the fact that some flying mounts will act as ground mounts in areas where flying mounts are prohibited.

Wait, don't ALL flying mounts act as ground mounts if flying is prohibited/you can't fly yet/you are on the ground?

I believe previously if it was a no-fly zone you couldn't summon the mount.

Not druid flying form. It's disabled.

As far as I can tell, none of my flying mounts are usable in no-fly zones either. I think it's only "special" flying mounts, like the recruit a friend rocket, the two purchasable mounts, the love rocket, etc, that can do that.
