Alright, I'll do my best to explain the situation.

I am attempting to log into WoW and I keep getting a message saying "The information you have entered is not vaild..."
Odd, since my account name is saved into the wow screen so all I would do is type in my password, followed by authenticator key.
I tried to login from the Blizzard page and again the same issue only different message "login failed"

I then proceeded to reset my password, the email for the password reset link was sent into my account name mailbox, I clicked it, changed password.

Again, attempted to login and I couldn't. Neither the website nor game would accept any login.
Im left guessing that the perpetrate of this problem is my authenticator key - as it's the only option left to blame.

Is it possible that the authenticater key is to blame? I do not have a hard key, I use an app on my phone. Stopped working sometime yesterday. I did log in after the server restarts but didn't stay on long.

None of my characters have been touched on armory.

One last thing to note. Yesterday, I upgraded my phone/data contract through my cell phone service provider. The new phone is still in transit to me but the new data plan is not compatible with my current phone's data (weird I know), could the lack of a data connection have anything to do with it?

I have heard of phone app authenticators getting out of sync before and I am inclined to believe that is your issue. I would suggest calling Blizz's customer support line with this problem.

I've never heard of that so I googled it, and sure enough that actually is an issue, sure enough there's a resync option (i had no clue), and sure enough after I resynced it let me log on.

Spot on sir! You figured it out and helped me solve my issue within 20sec. Thank you much!

I love these forums - especially for the little things like this.

Yup, that happened to me about a month ago or so. It confused the hell out of me and I couldn't figure out what in the world was going on. I even sent a request to have my authenticator removed as I decided to hit those little arrows going in a circle.
