Starting a new alt - already turned down numerous guild invites

I don't want some random guild I don't know much about. Is there a list anywhere of guilds on individual servers?

Also, is there anything illegal, improper, unethical or just inappropriate about a player having two different alts in the same guild?

A lot of the server forums on battlenet have a list of guilds. I would try there. And no, I don't see why there would be anything wrong with having more than one character in a guild.

No, not technically, but there are some guilds that do not allow it at all. From my experience though, most guilds are fine with it although some may restrict how many alts are allowed or how much access they have to certain privileges like the guild bank (e.g. some guilds only allow your main to have any access). Either way it doesn't hurt to ask if you intend to apply for one.

Each guild's different on the alt thing. Some actually prefer it, as it makes you easy to find and gets the guild more exp.

Yeah. That's how most guilds I've seen seem to operate. You can have your alts in the guild but only your "main" gets bank access, or something similar.

Yeah, we used to restrict bank access on alts to the leveling tabs, more or less. Back before access became authenticator based.

Nope, but there's always the potential for some mayhem if you don't tell people it's your alt. Smiley: wink

Just a follow-up on the same guild question. Online I messaged one of the L85s who was also online. He asked who my other alt was, hopefully to ascertain that I wouldn't be too big a drag. The invitation to join was immediate - with no restrictions.

Since the cap for players has been raised to 1000, there shouldn't be a problem for having alts in the same guild. However, the guild I'm in - PCG on EU-Steamwheedle Cartel - has a policy of "main+2", I think. There's another guild for more alts, called PCG Swarm, if people want to have more characters.
